Haapus is a Marathi movie released on 25 June 2010. The movie has been produced by Sanjay Chhabria along with Abjijeet Satam who has also directed it. The movie tells us the story of how the family business of Mangoes that fruit once a year can sustain the whole village for an entire year.
Synopsis
Haapus throws light on an important aspect the life of Malwani People. 'Haapus' is a Marathi film based on the farmers who are engaged in the cultivation of Haapus Aamba (Alphonso Mangoes) in Konkan area of Maharashtra, India. Basically it is a story about one family from a village where the young son of an astrologer wants to break the vicious circle of the mango-farmers getting peanuts from a rich business man who earns millions in the market, and to do so he has to contend with his father's immense belief in astrology. It is a light-hearted comedy, which people of all age groups can enjoy.Acteurs

Jay (Adinath Kothare) is an orphan raised by and is financially supported by his Uncle Satyavan Makarand Anaspure. The story revolves around the Jadhav family. Makarand(Makarand Anaspure) after spending all his wealth has invented an auto part which he claims will drastically lower the fuel consumption of vehicles. But being from a rural background and having no formal education he is never taken seriously. Subhanrav(Shivaji Satam) makarand's father leaves no opportunity to blame his son for selling all his land on failed pursuits. Sumi (Medha) is makarand's humble 2nd wife.
