Hasti is a 1993 Bollywood film directed by Ashok Gaekwad and produced by Sandeep D. Shinde. It stars Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah, Nagma and Varsha Usgaonkarin pivotal roles.
Synopsis
Narang is an accomplished and wealthy industrialist who lives with his daughter, Neena, in a palatial home. His daughter is now of marriageable age, and he would like her to marry his associate's, Bhisham, son, Vicky. But Neena is in love with a much poorer man named Jaikishan alias Jaggu. When Neena informs her father that she would like to marry Jaggu, he summons Jaggu's mom, Shanti, and instantly recognizes her from his questionable past. He belittles her, humiliates her and asks her to leave his house. When Jaggu finds out he goes to meet Narang, and asks him to change his decision, but he too gets insulted, and is asked to leave, never to see nor speak to Neena again. Jaggu promises him that he will return within one year and by that time he will be even more wealthy than Narang. Jaggu befriends a homeless man named Vishal and together they set forth to meet Jaggu's deadline. Things are going pretty well for Jaggu, as he has been able to get a sizable loan from a bank, and has started his own construction business. This success has got him enemies, and one day someone places a bomb in his car. Jaggu survives, but is critically wounded and in need of blood. His blood group is the same as that of Vishal - but Vishal refuses to give any blood to save Jaggu. Shanti is shocked and appalled at this, and sets forth to find out why her son's closest friend refuses to help him in this dire time of need.Acteurs

Three men are on death row. Jaggu (Jackie Shroff), a lawyer and a poet, is serving a sentence for murdering his wife because she was cheating on him with another man. Nagya (Nagesh Kukunoor), a man angry with the whole world, is arrested for murdering his wife too, but he claims that it was an accident where she falls off the sidewalk while they were in the middle of a heated argument. Ishaan (Naseeruddin Shah), a happy-go-lucky man, is also arrested for murder that he commits while in the act of robbery. The prison's custodian is Mohan (Gulshan Grover), who attempts several methods to reform the prison's inmates. A documentary filmmaker, Chandrika (Juhi Chawla) comes to the jail to set a film about these three men. In the process, she finds redemption to her troubled marriage.

Pinky (Kajol), charmante jeune fille, et Bunty (Atul Agnihotri), jeune homme plein de vie, sont deux étudiants insouciants. Dès leur rencontre, ils tombent éperdument amoureux l'un de l'autre et envisagent de se marier. Mais leurs familles ne les approuvent pas : en effet, le mariage de Bunty a été arrangé avec Shobha (Ayesha Jhulka), la fille du meilleur ami de ses parents et pareillement, Pinky a été promise par son père (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) à Arjun (Jackie Shroff), officier de police digne de confiance. Pinky et Bunty décident de s'enfuir pour se marier et se rendent chez une tante (Aruna Irani) pour qu'elle les conseille. Celle-ci se rend compte que les sentiments éprouvés par les deux jeunes gens ne sont pas très sincères et juge que leur union serait une erreur. Aussi fait-elle semblant de les approuver mais les guide dans le même sens que leurs familles : elle leur suggère de se marier selon les vœux de leurs parents mais en leur laissant croire qu'ils pourront divorcer afin de se retrouver. Pinky et Bunty suivent ses conseils puis mettent tout en œuvre pour rendre leurs vies conjugales infernales. Leur comédie semble fonctionner jusqu'à ce qu'ils découvrent que Shobha et Arjun se rencontrent en cachette.
