Jawani Zindabad - is a Punjabi film released in 2010 Starring Raj Brar, Gurkirtan Chauhan, Pooja Kanwal and Gugu Gill. Some of the shooting took place in Chandigarh's Sector 17 and Sukhna Lake amongst other places.
Synopsis
Jawani Zindabad is a story of a boy “Raj” (Raj Brar), who is studying at Chandigarh from his native village. Raj Thinks that along with study one should enjoy life, because these days of college never come back. “Prabhjot” (Pooja Kanwal) heroin of the film thinks that we have to respect our parents whether they are with us or not. Prabhjot’s Father “Sarpanch Devinder Singh” (Guggu Gill) thinks that Girl child never put her parents respect down but this is due to their faults. Prabhjot’s Dada Ji “Gurkirtan” who loves his Grand Daughter very much. Who thinks that with time everybody flows not opposite it. Zoheb (Ahmed Butt) runs his late father’s business with the help of Mr. Khan (Javed Sheikh). His mother, Mrs. Haroon (Saba Hameed), is busy preparing for her daughter’s wedding while also on the lookout for a suitable match for her son. Meanwhile, Zoheb chances to meet Sheeza (Pooja Kanwal) two songs later, falls madly in love with her and marries her without his mother’s consent. Mera Pind is the story of a well-to-do Non-resident Indian Navroz Singh Lamba, who is played by Navjot Sidhu, who has chosen to settle in his native village and spread the message of empowerment and entrepreneurship among the village youth. Led by Himmat, played by Harbhajan Maan, the youth set off a revolution in the development of the village. The story inspires Punjabis who are increasingly opting to settle abroad, to undertake business in their own villages and cities. Mera Pind also includes a story of a young man seeking his love but has been shielded from the father of the woman he loves.

Jeona Morh (Gugu Gill), was an extremely strong and religious young man who eventually became a bandit and robbed many villages. He lived during the British Raj in Punjab. Before turning to crime he lived happily with his brother and his wife. Jeona's brother was an undercover bandit, and the only person who had knowledge of this was his dearest friend, Dogar, who later reported him to the police; as there was a hefty reward on his head. During his brother's arrest the corrupted police severely beat his brother's pregnant wife and eventually killed her. Jeona's brother was convicted and sent to "Kala Pani" Prison. Jeona Morh fled into the jungles where he met a gang of bandits and eventually became their leader and vowed to take revenge. Jeona Morh had murdered every person who had any involvement in the ill treatment of his family before finally being shot multiple times to death.
