Ravi (Sakthi), is a happy-go—lucky-youngster, who falls in instant love with Anjali (Gauri Munjal), his college mate. Kesavan (P.Vasu) is a famous singer while his younger brother Seenu (Karthik) spends his time picking fights with people who speak ill of Kesavan. This is a constant source of irritation to everyone in the family. Kesavan slowly becomes a slave to drinks which affects his ability to sing. When this happens at a concert, Seenu fills in for him and sings. While he intended this to be a one-time affair, his singing catches the public's fancy and he becomes more popular than Kesavan. This makes Kesavan jealous and he starts hating Seenu. Kesavan leaves home, Seenu searches for him, only to receive the news that he is dead. In the climax, Seenu becomes a famous singer and credits his brother as the reason for his success.

Subramania Siva (Ajith) is in jail, awaiting the death sentence for killing corrupt and evil members of the police force who had killed his father and sister. SP of Police, Nethiadi Nandakumar (Prakash Raj) is an honest, fearless and upright police officer who has been given the mission to flush out the terrorist outfit behind the Coimbatore blasts. A mentally unstable pregnant woman runs inside a temple and closes the door. She gives birth to a boy at the feet of Lord Krishna’s idol and breathes her last. The doors of the temple are closed, as people believe that the birth of such a woman's child in 'garbhagudi' is a bad omen. The boy, named Arjun (Manchu Vishnu), grows up under the guardianship of his grandmother (Manorama). He goes to work as a bodyguard to Satya (Mamta Mohandas), the sister of landlord Pedababu (Nassar). Arjun and his grandmother live in the outhouse of Pedababu’s bungalow. Arjun is ill-treated by everyone. When an astrologer says that Satya’s first husband will be killed and she will live happily with her second husband, Pedababu plans to get Satya married to Arjun first. Then, he conspires to kill him and get Satya married to a rich man. However, Lord Krishna (Nagarjuna Akkineni) comes to Arjun's assistance. Arjun gains some powers from his companionship with the Lord and overcomes the evils that threaten his peace and family life. He also succeeds in reopening the doors of the temple. Arjun then dies by jumping off a tall building because of his faith in Lord Krishna who revives him a minute after his death. The film ends on a happy note.

After accidentally meeting, Mridula (Nagma) and Arun (Prabhu Deva) fall in love. The young couple both come from affluent families, and so, to test whether they will be suited for a long term relationship, they both decide to live together. However, a few months into their relationship, Arun and Mridula get in an accident and he passes away. A devastated Mridula is unable to get over her loss, and before long starts seeing Arun in strange visions everywhere she goes. Her family eventually decide that relocating to another country might help Mridula move on, and so they send her to the UK. Once she arrives there, she meets Mano, a young man attracted to her. She knows that her parents expect her to fall for Mano. But as she can't move on, she runs away. She meets a person who looks exactly like Arun. She follows him and finds out where he lives and works. Whenever she tries to talk to him, he denies his relationship with her and says he doesn't know her. However, she later finds out that her father had Arun sent away as he had helped with Arun's sister's marriage and had threatened to let it all go downhill for her. Arun moves to UK in hopes that he can forget about Mridula but he can't and when he meets her, he realises this. When Mridula's father finds out Arun is still alive, he tries to kill him. However he realises his mistake and lets the lovebirds reunite.
