Synopsis
In this story Krish (played by Dev) is the hero and Bhoomi (played by Subhashree Ganguly) is the leading heroine. Krish is the son of a rich man. Krish (has love interest in Megha (Nusrat Jahan). Megha also loves Krish a.k.a. Krishna. Their relationship goes fine until Megha meets Bhoomi (Subhashree Ganguly) and they become best friends. Bhoomi tells her best friend Megha about his rowdy and tough cousin who her family wants her to get married to but she does not want to marry. Megha gets worried about her friend and tells the problem to her boyfriend, Krish. Megha makes Bhoomi meet Krish and tells Krish to act as if Krish is Bhoomi's boyfriend and let Bhoomi's family know that Bhoomi is in a relationship with Krish. Krish does not agree at first but later agrees to help out Bhoomi. In the meantime, Bhoomi fall in love with Krish in reality. Krish also gets close to Bhoomi. Later, one day Krish gets to know that Megha and Bhoomi's fathers are step-brothers and they have a family rivalry between them from ages. Krish meets the two brother's father (Haradhan Bandopadhyay) and gets to know why they have the rivalry and also gets to know that grandfather wants them to be together again. The grandfather gives the responsibility to Krish to get the two families together again and if he is successful he will get Megha or Bhoomi- whoever he is in love with hand in marriage. Krish falls in a big problem as he is not interested in all this family rivalry. But later he decides to get the family together. In the meantime, Megha gets the wrong idea that Krish and Bhoomi is cheating her and Krish is in love with Bhoomi and not her. Due to the untimely death of Late Shri Haradhan Bandopadhay,the climax of the movie was changed which made it different from the original story of Brindavanam where Krish marries Bhoomi as Meera explained.Acteurs

Letr she also gets to know Bhoomi is her step;sister because of the two fathers.When Krish gets to know about all this , Krish gets totally confused on everything and fails to understand who he actually loves. Through all this misunderstanding , Krish manages to get the family together again. Atlast, when the two brothers get together both offers Krish to marry their daughters.The two brothers (Rajatava Dutta and Tapas Paul) assures Krish that he will get the hand of whoever he wants to marry. But Krish gets totally confused between Bhoomi and Megha. He runs to the temple of the village and asks Lord Krishna- who only spoke to Krish and Krish could hear him. Krish asks Lord Krishna for help when Lord Krishna comes out of his idol and gives Krish his divine flute and tells him to just go on and that he was in the same state as he was in. He was also confused between Meera and Radha and he did not marry anyone. Krish takes the flute and he does not come back to Bhoomi or Megha and leaves the village forever.

The film is a love story between a rich boy and a poor girl. Although they have been friends for years, Indra and Shantanu have grown apart and have little in common. The widowed Indra is a poor engineer who lives in a humble house in the country. Shantanu is a rich man with a vast business empire, with little time for old friends. However, when Indra prepares to work abroad, he turns to Shantanu to solve a problem. Will Shantanu let Indra's sister Puja (Payel Sarkar) stay at his house? Shantanu cannot turn down his old friend's request, and Puja comes to live with Shantanu's family. At first country girl Puja is ill at ease in the huge mansion. She is befriended by Shantanu's son Rahul (Dev), who assures her that he has no romantic interest in her and that a boy and a girl can be platonic friends. The pair share outings and confidences, and all seems to be going well. Then Rahul takes Puja to a party put on by some of his rich friends. They humiliate Puja and accuse her of scheming to marry Rahul. Puja leaves in tears and distances herself from Rahul. At that point, Rahul suddenly realizes that he has fallen in love with her. With aid of his mother (who likes the unassuming Puja) and his comic friend Manohar, Rahul sets out to win Puja's heart.

An auto driver(Kushal Chakraborty), sees Lucky Bhai (Rahul Dev) murder a journalist. The auto driver manages to capture Lucky Bhai & his henchman, and hold them until the Police arrive. Afterwards, the auto driver returns home to his wife and son, Raj. Unfortunately, Lucky Bhai & his henchmen break into their house that night. Dev (Dev) is a high school drop out from and a worthless village lad. He is hell bent on getting married. But the girl he wants to marry rejects him stating that he doesn't have college education. It is a romantic-drama/comedy film. Subhashree portrays an N.R.I girl living in London whose father (portrayed by Biswajit Chakraborty) wants her to get married with an Indian lad. However, Subhasree's character is deeply involved in a yet-platonic relationship with a half-Brit boy Harry. Subhasree's brother (played by Tota Roy Choudhury) is involved in a relationship with a British girl and wants to marry her. However, his father refuses to let him marry the girl and this event promptly induces him to leave his parents' home. Meanwhile, Subhasree's father manages to bring his wife and daughter to India where he can find a suitable groom for his daughter. This is where they meet Dev, a quintessential charming Bengali lad who falls head-on in love with Subhasree and their marriage is invariably finalized since Dev's father is an old friend of Subhasree's Dad as well. However, although Subhasree evidently likes Dev, she hatches a plan to delay and finally, annul the engagement by implementing her brother's plan of bringing Dev to London and 'breaking up' with him abroad. Poran Jai Jolia Re is the story of how Dev manages to win his love over all adversities in a foreign land.
