Khushiyaan is an Indian family film shot in Punjabi with little English, directed by Tirlok Malik,written by Rajan Gangahar starring Jasbir Jassi, Tisca Chopra, Kulbushan Kharbanda, Rama Vij, Master Shrey Bawa and Deep Dhillon. The film is produced by Darshan Garg, D.P.Goyal and Pradeep Bansal. The theatrical trailer premièred with Deol’s Yamla Pagla Deewana and the film is releasing soon. It is in the news for its impressive quote "Every family has a journey…What’s Yours?".
Synopsis
You could be the "King of Bollywood", "The richest man of India", or a "Leader of Technoworld". Raj is an extremely successful and highly driven architect living in New York City with his wife Juhi (a head hunter) and his son Neal, 6. The story revolves around Simran (Mahi Gill) who is a Canadian NRI working as a manager at a local cafeteria in Chandigarh. JB (Jaswinder Bhalla), Goldy (Vivek Shauq), and Pinka Bhoond (Gurpreet Ghuggi), are three of the four main characters who chase Simran all through the movie. All three of them are more interested in Canada than in Simran. Smeep(Smeep Kang) on the other hand actually loves Simran from the deepness of his heart. He fell for her beauty since the time he saw her for the first time three years ago during Simran's hotel management course. Since then, he has lost track of her whereabouts, but he still keeps a greeting card that he had bought for her three years ago. Smeep and Goldy are roommates and live in Chandigarh as well.

Sunil (Apoorva Agnihotri) and Ashok are two close friends. They are of marriageable age. One day Ashok's mom tells him to introduce himself to Shalu. But Ashok is reluctant to do so. He asks Sunil to impersonate him, and somehow reject Shalu. That way his mom will be satisfied and not pester him any more. In the meantime, Shalu and Nisha (Mahima Chaudhry) have also decided like-wise, and planned to fool Sunil. But when the two couples meet, Sunil and Nisha fall in love, but are unable to tell each other of their impersonations. When they do so, they are already in love, and after meeting each other's parents, they get married. Enter Sunil's elder brother Anand (Sunny Deol), and complications abound. Anand is involved in criminal activities, he wants to give up those, but his partners will not allow him to do so. Nisha works for Anand and he is in love with her and would like to marry her, but when he finds out that his brother loves her he steps down. Sunil and Nisha get married and have a kid but then Sunil is killed by Anands business partners who believe it to be Anand. Nisha's parents want her to get married again so Anand marries her as he still loves her. Anand then finds out that Sunil is alive and brings him back home even though Sunil had left because he knew that Anand loved Nisha. Anand is killed by the bad guys and Sunil and Nisha live happily ever after.

Mahaul Theek Hai (meaning 'the situation is okay') is a record setting Punjabi film. It is a comedy satire about the police force in India. The plot is a story where boy (Smeep Kang) meets girl (Chandni Toor). The hero's brother Raj Babbar, is involved with an illegal businessman. The heroine's father Kulbhushan Kharbanda is cheated of land by his own brother. Played by director and satirist Jaspal Bhatti, the villain of the film is a corrupt SSP (police superintendent) who misuses his authority to threaten people and hide his own excesses. His love interest is played by Bhatti's real life wife (Savita Bhatti). Shot mainly in the northern India city of Chandigarh, the story uses a simple plotline to create its comedy. Every situation which should seem serious is filled with the incessant jokes and humour which are Bhatti's trademark.

News Reporter Payal (Twinkle Khanna) and her camera-man have been assigned the task of interviewing the world's highest ranking criminal don, Devraj (Akshay Kumar), which they accept. In the process, Payal and Devraj fall in love with each other,much to the opposition of Bismillah (Mukesh Khanna), Devraj's guardian on one hand; and Police Inspector Amit (Rajat Bedi), and Payal's brother Ravi (Vivek Shauq) on the other. What results is that Ravi is killed with Devraj being blamed and arrested. Payal tesitifies against him, and Devraj is sentenced to be hanged. When Bismillah finds about this plot, he tracks them down, but Amit kills him to save himself and Payal. But Devraj escapes from custody, and begins to plot vengeance against his enemies, including Payal, as well as the real killer of Ravi. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Amit was the one who killed Ravi and joined Thakral to frame Devraj for it. But Amit betrays Thakral and kills him. He then takes Payal on a flight where Devraj tracks him down and kills him. The story ends with Payal and Devraj getting married.
