In World War I song-and-dance man Jerry Jones (George Murphy) is drafted into the US Army, where he stages a revue called Yip Yip Yaphank. Elvira Kent (Janis Paige) and her husband Michael (Don DeFore) suspect each other of cheating. Wealthy French playboy Toto Duryea (Frank Fay) is irresistible to women, but is in love with none of them.
