Ajouter à une liste de filmsNetru Indru (English: Yesterday Today) is a 2014 Tamil thriller film, directed by Padmamagan, a filmmaker who earlier directed Pallavan and R. Parthiban starrer Ammuvagiya Naan. Prasanna and Vimal, along with Richard Rishi and Bharani of Naadodigal fame, played the lead roles, while Arundhati and Manochitra were the female leads. Rehhan scored the music for the film, while Dinesh Sre was the cinematographer. Shot entirely in forests of South India, Netru Indru draws a parallel between events happened in the past and ones that happens in the present in the forest. Produced by S. Malathy, it was expected to hit the screens in August 2013, but it did not release on the projected release date but after several delays in June 2014.

Childhood Friends Aravind and Rishi struggled for film industry fame before Aravind's films with Rishi as hero become. They made two blockbuster films together. Then Aravind thought of directing a new story written by a new writer and made a job offer to some writers. He then saw a story written by a new writer on which Aravind's co-director unfortunately dropped some ink on the script. Aravind found the script very interesting and he along with his friend Rishi planned to go on a road trip to search for inspiration to complete the remaining script of a third film. During the ride, Aravind and Rishi meet Nirupama, whom they save from goons. During the journey, Nirupama asked Rishi to over take a 'black car' which was moving ahead of them. Rishi then drove the car at a great speed and overtook the car but in the mean time, that 'black car' got hit by a truck but Rishi and his friends had not seen the accident, so they moved forward. Rishi slowly fell in love with Nirupama while they were staying in a cottage. But soon Aravind also found Nirupama very interesting, and he also started loving her. Aravind and Rishi then realise that the events that occurred during their journey was very similar to the script that Aravind had read earlier. The last page that he read from the script prophesized that two friends will fight with each other for a girl and, they had actually fought over Nirupama.

On September 16, superstar Gautham Krishna (Prakash Raj) gets ready for the release of his new film. On the same day, Traffic Constable Satyamoorthy (Cheran) joins back on duty, after having been suspended from service for taking bribes. The day is special for Dr. Robin (Prasanna) who is celebrating his first wedding anniversary. Karthik Vishwanathan (Sachin), an aspiring television journalist, starts his first job with an interview with Gautham Krishna the very same day. On the same day, at a crowded traffic junction in Chennai, Karthik, who was set to interview Gautham Krishna, and Ajmal (Mitun), traveling in a bike are hit by a speeding car at the signal, and Karthik is rushed to Global Hospital. Also at the junction, in another car, was the surgeon Dr. Robin. Karthik goes into coma and is declared brain dead although he is kept alive using ventilator. Meanwhile, Gautham's ailing daughter's (Gabriella Charlton)heart condition becomes worse and she urgently needs a heart transplant. At first Karthik's parents do not agree to take their son off the ventilator and donate their son's heart but Ajmal and Karthik's girlfriend (Parvathi Menon) persuade them into it. Now that the heart is available, the problem was transporting it from Chennai to Vellore. No chartered flights or helicopters were available and so the heart had to be taken by road. Someone had to drive the 150 kilometers in under two hours during the rush traffic.

The entire film shoot was at Golden Rock, Tiruchirappalli. Murugan and Paappaa waits for the acceptation of their parents. As their parents accept for their marriage and they get married . Murugan & Kesavan realise the real value of the life & they decide that life is nothing without doing work so they both go to their respective homes & while seeing their father's photo Murugan & Kesavan write that " DAD IS MY GOD " & " MY FATHER IS HERO " respectively.
