Pallikoodam (English-School) is a Tamil feature film directed and cinematographed by Thangar Bachchan. Narain, Sneha, Sriya Reddy, Seeman and the director himself form the cast. Narain plays Vetrivel, a collector, while Sriya Reddy is a nurse, Sneha is a teacher named Kokila and Seeman plays Muthu. The film deals with four different periods - 1978, 1983, 1991 and 2004.
Synopsis
Vetrivel, a son of a potter, is the most intelligent of the lot and loves Kokila who is the daughter of a rich Jamindar who owns the school land. And their common friends are Muthu and Kumaraswami. Kumaraswami, very bad at studies, avoids school; however, his father makes all efforts to send him back to school and succeeds in doing so.Acteurs

The story is woven around a mobile phone, which Thankar says connects people by voice and helps to have new relationships and maintain them. Madhava Padayachi (Sathyaraj) narrates his life to a young man who saves him from shame. He goes to his home village by a bus and feels for Madhava Padayachi who was a rich farmer long time back in his village. Madhavar, as he is fondly called, his wife Velayi (Archana) and their three sons live a happy life in their village. He is an honest and hard working farmer who will do anything for others. Shanmugam (Parthiban), a veterinary doctor, lives in the city with his wife Valarmati(Devayani) and their two children. Sanjay (Sumanth) is an extremely practical guy who believes in nothing but logic and reasoning. He listens to his mind and ignores his heart. The rest of the story is all about how she finally accepts Sanjay's love.
