Nagendra Naidu (Nagendra Babu) is a powerful police officer. He wants to see his son Radhakrishna (Nitin) also as a good police officer. He always dreams of his son bashing the dons and get a state government's medal which should be presented through his hands. However, his wife Sarala (Kovai Sarala) wants to see her son as a super star. Then a peculiar GO gets passed by which any honest person is eligible for a Police job. As Nagendra Naidu convinces his wife that all the training that is needed for a film hero could be learnt in just three months time in the Police Academy, Sarala agrees to join him in the Police Academy. Radhakrishna falls in love with Krishnaveni (Bhavana) at the police academy. The latter too loses her heart to him. At this juncture, her photo appears in the TV saying that she was a big Naxalite leader. The actual story gets revealed with a small twist. Who created Krishnaveni as a Naxalite or did she really a Naxalite? What happened to the love between Radha and Krishna? How far, Radha was able to fulfil the dream of his father Nagendra Naidu? Answers to all these questions form part of the second half.

Raj (Ram Charan) is a Hyderabad-based gambler living with his adopted parents who supports his means of living. Tragedy strikes the family when his adopted father (M. S. The movie begins with two young kids who fight each other in a marriage hall. They meet after two decades, now Krishna (Prasanna) and Ramya (Laila) during a college cultural meet and again lock horns with each other. Fate brings them together in Chennai after a few years, again fighting with each other. Meanwhile, a series of events forces Krishna's close friend Aravindh (Karthik Kumar) to come to India from the USA to get married. His parents arrange his wedding with Ramya. Ramya, who decides to get married to help her younger sister's love, displays herself as a passive character who accepts whatever the life partner feel is right. On the contrary, she is bold, active, independent and assertive in nature. Knowing this, Krishna tries hard to let her true character come out. However, Aravindh stalls the wedding plans and returns to the USA as he finds Ramya as a person who does not think on her own and not independent. Mistaking Krishna for influencing Aravindh, Ramya locks horns with him.

Ravi(Tarun), a school dropout and vagabond falls in love with Swati(Arti Agarwal) the minute he sets his eyes on her, but loses sight of her in a sea of people and traffic. Ravi manages to establish visual contact with Swathi and understands from her mute plight that she wanted to leave home. Ravi helps her escape home and is elated to know that she left home for him. But his bubble qhickly bursts when he comes to know that Swati had used his help to get to her lover Chandu(Jugal Hansraj). But Ravi braves the goons who chase them and fights the tears of heartbreak and decides to help Swathi meet her lover. This draws ire from Ravi’s friends who had helped him all along in his love story. They think Ravi should dump the girl. He disagrees and they desert him. Armed only with unflinching, selfless love Ravi embarks on an adventure with Swathi to find her lover Chandu. Finally he manages to fight the goons of Swathi’s brother and unites Swathi and Chandu. Ravi’s selfless sacrifice melts Swathi’s heart and makes her wonder what true love was.
