Sagar (Kannada: ಸಾಗರ್) is a 2012 Kannada romantic drama film starring Prajwal Devaraj, Radhika Pandit, Sanjjanaa and Haripriya in the lead roles. The Story, screenplay and Direction is by M. D. Sridhar. Gurukiran is the music director of the film. Produced by Ramu Enterprises, the film's cinematography is by Krishna Kumar.This movie was later dubbed into Hindi as Ek Aur Mr. Sherdil.

Synopsis

Hailing from an aristocrat industrialist Rajasekhara Murthy family Sagar (Prajwal) is forced to say a lie that he is in love with Kajal. That is when the marriage is fixed with him and Priyanka (Haripriya). They decide that unless both fall in love they will not get married is what both decide. To keep this marriage away, Sagar comes up with an idea from. Accordingly Kajal (Radhika Pandit) arrives in the house. The family agrees on this and what happens next is the action portion because Kajal is followed by international don Sonu (Dev Gill). How Sagar saves Kajal and accept her, is the remaining portion of the film.

The film starts by displaying an antic of Keshavan (Thilakan) who is an inmate of the Kakkanad Mental Hospital. Two other inmates are Benny (Mukesh) and Krishnankutty (Jagathy Sreekumar), along with the female inmate played by Philomena. The late Hakeem Rawther too plays as an inmate in a cameo role. By profession Benny is an artist, Krishnankutty is an auto-mechanic and Keshavan had retired from military service. The trio chance to come across a newspaper report that the Hindi film star Amitabh Bachchan is visiting Ernakulam City for film shooting, which is near the place they stay. They are soon joined by Venu (Siddique), acting as the brother of Balan (N.N.Balakrishnan) who takes him to the mental hospital. Venu is a good singer but suffers from a compulsive obsession to singing.
