Seshu is a 2002 Indian Telugu film starring Rajasekhar in the lead role, directed by his wife Jeevitha Rajasekhar.

It is a remake of the 1999 hit Tamil film Sethu, directed by Bala, which starred Vikram as the protagonist.

The film, starring Kaveri, Jyoti Lakshmi, Ganesh and Nassar in supporting roles, was released on 28 February 2002. It marks the Telugu film debut of popular Tamil film music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of the music composer Ilaiyaraaja.

Synopsis

Seshu (Rajasekhar) is a rough and macho college rowdy and also The Students Union Chairman of the college, who uses violence as the only way to deal with people. He lives with his brother, a Magistrate (Nassar), and his sister-in-law, who is the only person who seems to understand him properly.

Ashok (Rajasekhar) and Lakshmi (Meera Jasmine) are siblings, and their father, Sarvarayudu (Rajasekhar), who was a landlord of the village, and mother (Sujitha), die during their childhood. In a gap of seven years, Lakshmi has two daughters and a son. Then Nandini also becomes pregnant but suffers a miscarriage due to the intervention of one Kantham, who stays with her claiming to be her aunt. As Nandini's uterus was removed, Ashok turns childless and to please him Aakash and Lakshmi bring their children to cajole him. By the time Aakash returns to their house, his cousins cheat him and swindle the entire property. Aakash gets jailed in a cheque bounce case. Lakshmi and her children turn orphans. With the Kantham's advice, Nandini throws Lakshmi out of house and warns her not to try to meet her brother. With no way to save her husband and her family, Lakshmi commits suicide with her three children and on learning this Ashok also dies proving that they are inseparable even in death.

Balaramaiah (Sobhan Babu) is the head of the village, his word is an ordinance to villagers. He leaves with his wife Vasumathi (Srividya) and daughter Pooja (Rajeevi), but he strictly adheres to the caste. That's why he get read of his brother Krishna Murthy (Dr. Rajashekhar) and sister Seeta (Kalpana) because father is same to both of them, but Krishna Murthy's mother is from a lower caste. So Balaramaiah always ignores Krishna Murthy and both of them leaves by making participation of their house. Shivaji (Jagapati Babu) brother-in-law (son of maternal uncle) to Krishna Murthy comes to the village, for his help and Krishna Murthy gives shelter to him in his house. Shivaji falls in love with Pooja. Balaramaiah comes to know about this and he makes arrangements for Pooja's marriage with Antharvedi (Tanikella Bharani), son of Chintamani (Gollapudi Maruthi Rao) who always makes clashes between Balaramaiah & Krishna Murthy. At the end Balaramaiah realizes his mistake with the advice of Vasumati, accepts Krishna Murthy as his brother and a happy ending by rejoining the entire family.

The recently dismissed police commissioner of Chennai, Inspector General Raghavan Maraar (Mohanlal), describes in a voice-over about his sudden termination due to a common man who walked into his life. An unnamed man (Kamal Haasan) is shown strategically placing a travel bag in a train in the Chennai Central railway station and in a shopping mall. He proceeds to place another bag, under the false pretense of lodging an FIR, in the toilet of a police station in Anna Salai, Chennai.
