Kaveri, also known as Kalyani, is an Indian film actress and film producer, who works in the South Indian film industries. Making her debut as a child artist in the Malayalam film Ammanam Kili, she appeared in several Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada-language films. After playing lead and supporting roles in Malayalam ,Tamil films, she enacted female lead roles in several Kannada & Telugu-language films.
She has won the Nandi Award for Best Actress for her performance in Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru (2002). She is perhaps best known for her appearances and critically acclaimed performances in films such as Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum, Samudhiram, Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru, Kabaddi Kabaddi and Kasi.

Kittu / Krishna (Sundeep Kishan) is a cab driver who saves his money with the cab owner (Tanikella Bharani). When the owner refuses to return his money, Kittu kidnaps the owner's daughter Nandu (Regina Cassandra). Krishna (Nandamuri Balakrishna) lives in Dubai while his family is in India. His grandmother is against him who settled in India. Krishna falls for Sneha (Sonal Chauhan) and comes to India to seek the blessings of his grandmother. Jitender (Jagapati Babu) is a man with pride and haughtiness. He cannot tolerate anyone who comes across his way. Once, he goes to a nearby village for a marriage proposal to him. There he gets involved in a quarrel with the village headman (Suman) due to some unfortunate events and gets jailed. From then onwards, he tries to take revenge on that family. He kills the family members of the village headman one-by-one. As soon as Krishna arrives in India, he gets involved in quarreling with the gang of Jitendra. When Krishna and his family members are traveling in a bus to visit a temple Jitender's hitmen shoot Krishna and his family members are beaten badly by his henchmen. Krishna's elder brother Jai Dev The Legend (Nandamuri Balakrishna) who remained exiled obeying his grandmother, saves them and Krishna is admitted in a hospital. Then the past is revealed that twenty years back there was a quarrel between Jai Dev and Jitender in which Jai Dev's cousin (Radhika Apte) whom he loved was killed by Jitender. At present, he comes to know that Jitender is going to become Chief Minister of the state.How he stops Jitender from claiming this throne forms the rest of the story.

Kempe Gowda(Sudeep) is a sub-inspector in a dusty village of Rona in Hubli in North Karnataka, his native, where he is adored. His bumbling colleague Pashupati(Sharan) is cheerful and always helps him with his work. A beautiful girl Kaavya (Ragini Dwivedi) comes to his village. Eventually Kempegowda and Kaavya fall in love with each other. Armugam(P. Ravi Shankar), a notorious criminal, is brought down to his knees at the local police station. Their egos clash and Armugam, who has never had to face an opposition before, decides to teach Kempegowda a lesson. He is transferred to Bangalore, after being promoted as an Inspector, where Armugam's wits run large. His sub co worker Bose employs him at the Magadi Road Police Station. The Karnataka Home Minister C Ashok is pleased with Kempegowda and appoints him in all the activities responsible for the city, and posts him as the Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Anti Kidnapping Force.As the cop begins to unearth Armugam's misdeeds, he realizes that he is up against a real challenge. In return Kempegowda kills Vaikunta (J. Karthik) Armugam's younger brother. This infuriates Armugam who begins targeting many people who are close to Kempegowda including Kaavya whom he shoots but is saved by Kempegowda and Bose who is hacked to death by Armugam's henchmen. Finally in a bid to escape the arrest warrant issued out to him, Armugam kidnaps the Tamil Nadu Home Minister's daughter. He falsely tells Kempegowda that he is going to Mangalore with her when he is actually going to Nellore in Andhra Pradesh to put the police off the track. Kempegowda and his officers pursue Armugam and his henchmen near Nellore and kills all of the henchmen. He saves the Tamil Nadu Home Minister's daughter and kills Armugam in an encounter. In the end as the post credits roll, it is revealed that Kempegowda is resigning from the police force and together he and Kaavya are going back to Hubli. They are also happily married.

Chakradhar (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is a famous movie actor though his mother (Jayasudha) doesn’t approve of his celebrity status. Colonel Jeetendra asks Chakradhar to act like Major to ensure that the nation’s security plans are not compromised. The film is about Krishna (Ravi Teja) who was once a software engineer but quits his job to give it to his friend and is unemployed in the city of Vijayawada.
