Onamalu(Telugu: ఓనమాలు );(English: Alphabet) is a Telugu-language drama film directed by Kranthi Madhav. The film is a tale of a high school tutor, Narayana Rao. The film premiered on June 22, 2012. This is Kranthi Madhav's First Picture in Telugu. The known Telugu literary personality Mohammed Khadeer Babu penned dilouges for this movie for the first time. The film received CineMAA Awards for Best debut Director and Best outstanding Actor.
Synopsis
Narayana Rao (Rajendra Prasad) is a patriotic and simple village school master, who takes immense pleasure in working for the betterment of his students and his village. The movie shows Narayana Rao returning from the USA to his native village after a long gap. While sentiments and affection used to be the guiding forces in the village he left, commercialism and greed are the dominant forces in the village he returns to.Acteurs

Indu (Manjari Phadnis) is a music loving girl. Her mother is a Malayali and father (Vizag Prasad) Telugu. She has two younger paternal uncles (Ashok Kumar and Gundu Sudharshan) whose wives are from Chennai and Kolkata respectively. Thus entire India lives in her family. She is good at speaking Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Tamil. She happens to see Chakri (Allari Naresh), accidentally who is a good singer but not a professional one. Chakri falls in her love and the response from other side also comes good. But Chakri has a peculiar profession that gets revealed amidst the movie. Bangarraju (Allari Naresh) is a carefree youth and a very lucky guy who is referred to as an idiot in his village, and who bets on almost everything and wins in the bet, whereas his father is a respectable person. Seenu (Nithiin) is a new admit at maharaja college of arts and sciences. Nandini (Neha) goes to the same college. Seenu is from a middle-class family and Nandini is a rich girl. Nandini is the only daughter of Gowri Shankar, (Prakash Raj), who is a land mafia don. Gowri Shankar's assistant suspects them to be lovers after he finds them dancing at the freshers celebration at college. Seenu gets beaten up badly. Chandu (Nagarjuna) and Suri (Rajendra Prasad) are pilots and thick friends. Indu (Raveena Tandon) and Padma (Kasthuri) are very good friends. Chandu gets married to Indu and Suri marries Padma. Later on, she realizes her mistake and boards a flight to return to her husband so that Ram can be operated upon. Pakistani militants hijack the flight and they divert the flight's route. Lakshman is on his death-bed. How Chandu rescues the flight's passengers and puts an end to the story forms the climax.

Rajaji (Rajendra Prasad) is a middle aged man who does not have any dependents as both his wife and daughter die. His daughter takes her life because of the rejection from her boy friend. Rajaji is so much depressed with the entire episode that he too wants to die. He gathers like-minded people with suicide tendencies. He arranges a bus trip to Srisailam where they want to jump the bus from the highest cliff. Meanwhile this news is leaked to the cops. And the cops are in search of these people. Along the way the passengers on the bus come to realize that their problems are very insignificant and that they were not worth taking their life. Rajaji reveals that was his plan all along, but on their way back the bus's brakes get stuck. Rajaji saves all the passengers, but he himself can not get out. However, the police arrive just in time to save him.

Raghu Ramayya (Rajendra Prasad) is a kind hearted idealistic person who spends half of his income on charity work. His wife Bharati (Aamani), two sons Chinna and Raja and daughter Revathi are quite against this attitude. His children compel him to get money for their career (bribe for job), education (donation fee for engineering seat) and settling in United States which he feels is completely wrong. He is forced to set aside his morality and take a loan from his neighbor, Kotayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Unable to bear the defeat of his ideology and moral issues, he dies naturally due to a heart attack the very day he gives money to his children. The rest of the film is about how his children and wife realise just how important he was as they prepare his funeral. At last, every one had realised that after death only love and affection will come with us so love the people and society.

Seenu (Ram) enjoys fights right from his childhood. He appreciates violence. He wants to be like Manikyam (Pradeep Rawat), who was a goonda, as everyone, including his teacher, is afraid of him.
