Kalidasan (Lal) works in the state archaeological department in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and is a food lover. His only companion is his cook, Babu (Baburaj). Manu Raghav (Asif Ali) is Kalidasan's nephew who comes to stay with him, while looking for a job. Kalidasan has a normal life until he gets a mis-dialled phone call from Maya (Shweta Menon), a dubbing artiste living with her friend Meenakshi (Mythili). Maya rings to order a special Dosa (named "Thattil Kutti Dosa" in the film) from a restaurant, but gets Kalidasan instead. Their conversations do not go well at first, but a long-distance romance develops due to their common interest—cooking and food. Kalidasan is a born gourmet while Maya is indulging in culinary activities in memory of her dead mother. Kalidasan starts to let Maya into the secrets of baking with a multi-layered cake called "Joan's Rainbow".

Neal est un jeune garçon d'origine Indienne qui est né et a grandi au Canada, mais qui ne s'est jamais rendu en Inde. C'est un vrai playboy, toutes les filles l'adulent et lui courent après. Neal n'est pas vraiment d'accord, mais reconnaît qu'aucune de ses conquêtes n'est digne de respect. Il met une condition à son futur mariage, celle de passer les vacances à Vancouver, pour s'offrir du bon temps une dernière fois. Il rencontre une fois arrivé sur place une sublime top model ainsi qu'une jeune fille Indienne délurée et portée sur la bouteille, Nikki. Celle-ci, ivre, demande à Neal de la ramener chez elle. En gentleman qu'il est, il accepte, mais la conduit en chemin dans un hôtel mal famé et se retrouve arrêté pour attentat à la pudeur. Le lendemain Nikki le contacte pour en savoir davantage sur ce qui s'est réellement passé et lui fait une deuxième fois manquer son coup avec le top model. Neal fait alors connaissance avec une Indienne très chaude, et là encore, Nikki surgit et compromet cette nouvelle occasion. Décidément, elle ne le laissera pas enterrer tranquillement sa vie de garçon. Ils finissent finalement par s'attacher l'un à l'autre jusqu'à ce que Neal découvre que Nikki est la cousine de Sweety .

Arivazhagan (Manoj) has grown up to be a rowdy because of the neglect and ill-treatment by the hands of his parents and his only aim in life is to be an irritant to his father. The entire family attends the marriage of Savitri (Richa) in Bangalore and when the groom disappears, Arivu offers to take his place. The marriage never happens but Savitri shows up at Arivu's house later, asking him to give her refuge. When he moves out of the house to take up residence with his friends, she follows him there too. Initially irritated by her, Arivu realises that he is gradually falling in love with her. Meanwhile, the friends learns that Savitri left her own surroundings just to get over the gruesome suicide of her close friend Nisha (Preetha), a victim of eve-teasing. Nisha's brother Kishore (karan) and her family are still haunted by her death and the brother promises to avenge on the person who was the cause of his sister's death. Who is responsible for Nisha's suicide, and will Arivu succeed on proposing his love towards Savitri forms the rest of the story.

The movie ends as Ashok not marrying Richa and is a helper for couples forever.
