The 106-episode TV dramaserial was aired on Channel I and it has a rural setting, depicting colourful lifestyles of a rural village. This drama stars Humayun Faridi, ATM Shamsuzzaman, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Chanchal Chowdhury, Salauddin Lavlu, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Mosharraf Karim, Tania, Diti and Bonna Mirza.
Synopsis
Vober Hat is a story situated in the village of Vobhodia and the play follows the story of two brothers, Harem Kha and Marem Kha, who have cut off all ties for 25 years over a trivial incident. These two brothers have not talked or looked at each other for 25 years and so instead they both use their own workers to talk to each other. (Nata is the worker for Marem Kha and Adidludin is the worker for Harem Kha.)Acteurs

M. Mallik vit dans une vieille maison de famille dans le vieux quartier de Dacca, capitale du Bangladesh. Des promoteurs lui offrent un bon prix pour la maison s'il part vivre dans un appartement, mais il hésite devant l'offre. À ce moment, sa fille Ruba revient des États-Unis, fuyant son mari qui la maltraitait ; elle amène avec elle son petit garçon âgé de six ans. Elle est défavorable au déménagement, mais il est trop tard. Ruba va de maison en maison, et des souvenirs lui reviennent en revoyant la vieille maison. Elle fait alors la connaissance d'un voisin, Kislu, qui fait sécher ses sous-vêtements sur le balcon d'à côté et possède des sous-vêtements de couleur différente pour chaque jour de la semaine. Ruba et Kislu deviennent proches et finissent par sortir ensemble. Pendant ce temps, Stranger Soleman, coupable d'un meurtre dans une vie antérieure, travaille comme garde du corps pour M. Mallik. Quand Mallik apprend que Ruba et Kislu sortent ensemble, il décide de mettre fin à leur relation. Kislu est assassiné.

Hossian Miya (Utpal Dutta) is a Bengali Muslim trader who offers his community an idealistic vision: He wants to establish a little utopia on an island (Moynadeep) in the Padma delta and offer them a better life there. Rabindranath Tagore’s elder brother Jyotirindranath Tagore, a Western educated bright young man from the 19th century Bengal met the octogenarian Lalan Fakir and drew a portrait of the poet saint in the former houseboat afloat on the Padma river. Jyotirindranath, an urban intellectual exchange views with the man of native wisdom. Their exchange of ideas forms the cinematic narrative of this film. The narrative is a saga of the life and time of Lalan Fakir and his liberal sect who lived a life of high order in an otherwise superstitious 19th century Indian society. Lalan inherited the best of the liberal and enlightened tradition of Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam to develop a philosophy of life which is extremely secular and tolerant. Thus became an easy prey for the fundamentalists from the Hindu and the Muslim institutions. They were the parallel stream flowing freely in the heart of rural Bengal when men like Tagore were germinating ideas of the Bengal Renaissance. The love and compassion of Lalan is relevant more than ever in today’s world of intolerance and hate.
