Ajouter à une liste de filmsWe Are the Faithful (German Wir sind dir treu) is a 2005 documentary short film produced and directed by Swiss actor Michael Koch. It premiered in October 2005. The film is entirely spoken in Baseldytsch, a Swiss German dialect, but subtitles in Standard German and English are shown.
The film's subject is the stadium culture of FC Basel supporters during a game (FC Basel vs FC Zürich) in 2005 at the St. Jakob-Park and the importance of the chief supporter, Tobias Haufler, cheering on the crowd.
The film was favoured by critics and has been shown at eight short film festivals, amongst them in Clermont-Ferrand winning the Prix Canal+. The film also screened for a sold out crowd at the opening night screening of Rooftop Films 2007 Summer Series and was later chosen to be a part of the "Doc Shots" program, a collection of the best short non-fiction films from Rooftop's 2007 Summer Series. Various TV stations like ARTE, Canal+ and SF were interested in buying the rights to broadcast, and ARD even planned to broadcast the film during the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
The film is heavily disputed amongst supporters of FC Basel. In 2006, Haufler denied to agree on any further public presentations; as of 2007, the film can be purchased in various shops in Basel as well as in internet shops.

Martin Levidzhov's journey to becoming Mr Manchester United begins back in 1999 when he was watching the Champions League final between Manchester United and Bayern Munich. In the 89th minute of the match he vowed to change his name to Manchester United if his favourite team managed to turn around the 0:1 negative score. The British team did it in the most dramatic of fashions, thus determining Levidzhov's future struggles for the next fifteen years. The protagonist then undertook his fight with the Bulgarian legal system to have his name changed, a right he was repeatedly denied by various court instances.

The film begins by showing similarities between the politics of the Swedish Social Democratic Party with prime minister Olof Palme, and the successful semi-amateur club IFK Göteborg where all players had regular jobs as cooks, plumbers and clerks besides being footballers. Just as the combination of market economy and welfare state (the Swedish model) challenged the free market economies of Europe, IFK Göteborg challenged the fully professional European top clubs.

The film follows Manchester City in the wake of the club's takeover by Sheikh Mansour through the 2009-2010 season, capturing their emotions in victory and defeat. The film follows 13-year-old football starlet Pablo Rosario around for a year, Pablo is thirteen and follows a general secondary education, while playing for local football club DWS, the same club that produced the likes of Frank Rijkaard and Ruud Gullit, Dutch international football stars who both found their start in the youth ranks of this same club. Just like many soccer playing boys his age, Pablo dreams of one day playing for FC Barcelona. His coach is convinced of the young boys talent and foresees a great future for him. Filmmaker Jack Janssen follows Pablo for a whole year, a year where all three of the Dutch big three Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord express an interest in contracting the young child. Janssen shows Pablo's performance on the pitch, where he is able to effortlessly dissect his opponents, with his family watching, where his father showers him with well-intended, but oftentimes inconsistent advice. At school things are running less smoothly for young Pablo, while the film offers insight into the world of a young professional soccer player, where a continuous and often even tougher battle for young talents is fought by the top clubs.
