Anil Panachooran was born in the village of Puthuppally Govinthamuttam in Kayamkulam, a part of Alappuzha district, Kerala. He did his studies from T. K. The film explores the relationship between a mother and a child. The central character Josy (Jayasurya) is brought up all by his mother Padma (Rohini) after his father John's (Lal) "disappearance". The movie is all about the relationships between two rare bred men from extremely different strata of society, but more in common than is apparent from the first look.
