Antara Biswas, also credited as Mona Lisa, is an Indian actress. She has done over 50 Bhojpuri films, and has also appeared in Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films.

Biographie

She was born to a Bengali Hindu family. She adopted the stage name of Mona Lisa at the behest of her uncle. She studied at Julien Day School in Gariahat, south Kolkata and graduated from Asutosh College of the University of Calcutta earning a BA degree in Sanskrit before starting out a few years ago as a small-time TV actress and model in Oriya video albums. She acted in several b-grade films before making her debut in Bollywood with Blackmail starring Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty. She then acted and got rated in South Indian films before coming to notice through her role in Tauba Tauba opposite Amin Gazi. She acted in a Kannada film titled Jackpot. In 2010, The Hindu reported that Mona Lisa (along with Rinku Ghosh) was the most sought after actress in the Bhojpuri film industry.

Vichu (Silambarasan) is a quiet youngster brought up by the village priest (Nedumudi Venu) and his maternal grandfather. Owing to specific reasons, the caring elder has purposefully toned down (Simbu uses his eyes to convey the inner quietude of Vichu) the young boy's emotional quotient and has taught him a peculiar art of living. As a result, Vichu is soft-spoken, passive and is groomed to tolerate all sorts of malicious misdemeanors aimed at him. Inspector Abhay Rathod (Sunil Shetty) is an honest and diligent Police Inspector employed with Bombay Police. He was assigned the case of racketeer and criminal don, Shekhar Mohan (Ajay Devgan). Abhay successfully entraps and arrests him, and has him sentenced to a long jail term. Years later, Abhay is now the Assistant Commissioner of Police; is a happy family man with his wife (Priyanka Chopra) and son Chirag (Parth Dave) and Shekhar Mohan has completed his jail term and is looking to seek vengeance against Abhay. He does so by kidnapping Chirag and taking him along with him. The object for the kidnap was to trace his lost son, whose information he feels, is with Abhay. After several attempts to get the answer, finally Shekhar tricks Abhay, making him feel that he has killed Chirag. Abhay's wife, feeling Chirag is killed, informs Shekhar that Chirag is his son. Shekhar, is now wonder struck and tries to get Chirag's affection and love. Shekhar finds out that Chirag loves racing and takes him on various race courses where the child is thrilled to watch fast sport cars, and soon starts a friendship with "Uncle" Shekhar.
