Dayal Padmanabhan (born June 14, 1970, Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, India) is an Indian film Writer, director and producer, mainly working in Kannada Cinema. He has directed nine films and one under production. Most of his films have been in the genre of romantic-comedy thrillers, most notably his comedy-thriller Circus. His Debut directorial movie was OK Saar OK. He has also starred in Gaalipata, his character 'Dracula' received critical as well as public acclaim.

Three childhood friends — Ganesh (Ganesh), an MBA graduate; Diganth (Diganth), a medical student and Kitty (Rajesh Krishnan), an engineer; are caught by cops drunk driving on a night in Bangalore. Hari (Sunil), a young businessman and Neha (Radhika), a PHD student at the Singapore university love each other and get married. Later again, Neha asks for 3 more months time until she gets prepared to start a family. This makes the couple to clash and Neha leaves for an educational trip abroad. Meanwhile, Hari brings a celebrity model (Pooja) home and Neha finds them getting cozy after which the celebrity is seen murdered. The rest of the plot deals with the "who-done-it" and the mystery around the celebrity's death.

He said, nearly seventy percent of the shooting will be done near or on a train. I had to toil hard to get the required permission for the shoot. The story starts from Mysore station and ends in Bangalore station. director has taken permission from Railway authorities to shoot the film in Railway station and tracks in Mysore, Konkan Railway and Railway line stretching in Sakleshpura and Subramanya Ghat section.
