Nandamuri Harikrishna (born 2 September 1956 in Nimmakuru, Andhra State, India) is an Indian film actor and politician. He is best known for his works in Telugu cinema as a child artist in the 60's.

Biographie

From his first marriage, he has two sons, Janaki Ram and Kalyan Ram and a daughter Suhasini. From his second marriage he has a son, Taraka Ram who was later renamed as NTR Jr by his grand father, NTR himself. Both Kalyan Ram & Jr. NTR are well noted actors in the Telugu cinema with the later being among the top league.

Siva Rama Raju (Jagapati Babu), Rama Raju (Venkat), Raju (Sivaji) and Swathy (Monica) are siblings. They belong to a royal dynasty and at present they are orphans. Ramu (NTR) is a lorry driver who personally does not tolerate injustice anywhere. With his hard work, he soon becomes a lorry owner. He has a blind sister Meena (Roja Ramani) to whom he is very affectionate. A police inspector by the name of Raja Reddy (Sridhar), admiring Ramu's sincerity and truthfulness, comes forward to marry the blind girl. Meanwhile, Chukkamma (Jayasudha), who runs a small hotel on the highway, and Ramu fall in love with each other. Ramu renders help to one of Chukkamma’s relatives, another lorry driver named Vasu (Kaikala Satyanarayana). They become good friends. Kamal Babu (Mohan Babu) soon enters the scene, implicates Ramu in a smuggling case and succeeds in sending him to jail. How Ramu manages to prove his innocence and brings the story to its logical, happy end constitutes the rest of the narrative.
