As a model, she has appeared in television commercials and magazine advertisements in India. Nicolette graduated from Bhawanipur Education Society College, an affiliate of the University of Calcutta.
She is a daughter of Edwina Bird and Nicholas Bird of Calcutta. Her father, who is retired, was a jockey in India. Her mother is a consultant in Calcutta for Databazaar.com, an office supply company based in Miramar, Fla.
Nicolette Bird was introduced to her spouse, Ravi Mehta, by a mutual friend at a Mumbai hotel in February 2008. He was on a business trip and was about to return to the United States (Mehta, who was born in Colorado and grew up in Japan, went back to Mumbai every couple of months on business, and they began seeing each other).

Born into a poor family, Surya grows up with few luxuries. Poor health keeps him away from school often and that is when his elder brother, Chandrakant, introduces him to carrom. Winning the Junior Carrom Championship at 12 is not enough to keep Surya's fire for the sport burning through adolescence. Hopes for a job in Dubai replace the passion for carrom as Surya grows into a young man. Duped by a bogus overseas employment agency, Surya loses all his hard earned money he had saved for going to Dubai. Surya is forced to cross paths with Jaleel.

Magik, composé d'Aditya au chant, Joe à la guitare solo, soutenus par KD à la batterie et Rob au clavier, est un groupe de rock qui se produit à Mumbay à la fin des années 1990.
