Surekha Vani is an Indian comedian and supporting actress who performs in the Telugu language. As of June 2015, she has acted in 48 films.

During her school days, Vani participated in various cultural programs. When she was in the 8th grade, she anchored children's programs on local cable TV in Vijayawada. After Intermediate, she took up anchoring as a profession.

Vani hosted shows such as Maa Talkies and Heart Beat with her husband on MAA TV. She appeared in Moguds Pellams, also directed by her husband.

Narrator Viraj Anand is the younger son of Satyamurthy, a billionaire businessman who dies in an accident. Although Anand has ₹3 billion worth of property and stock which is worthless, he owes an equal amount. Paida Sambasiva Rao, one of Satyamurthy's creditors, suggests that Anand file for bankruptcy to protect his wealth but Anand wants to preserve his father’s image. Anand's older brother becomes mentally unstable and, at Sambasiva Rao's advice, the father of Anand's fiancée Pallavi cancels their upcoming wedding. Anand and his family move to a simpler home in Hyderabad, and he becomes the family's sole breadwinner. Sakthi (Vijay) is the adopted son of a Madurai-based don Sivan (Mohanlal) and is also his right-hand man, bodyguard and driver. He hates the police due to a police officer killing his father, who was Sivan's driver, in his childhood. His hatred is such that he hates the khaki colour (which is worn by policemen in India), constantly teases his friend Gopal (Soori), who is a Sub-inspector and even loses romantic interest on a woman named Shanthi (Kajal Aggarwal) after he finds out that she is a police inspector. However, when Sivan is insulted by the new Police Commissioner of Madurai (Pradeep Rawat), he forces Sakthi to become an IPS officer to save his crime syndicate and prove the Commissioner's words wrong (A policeman can think like a criminal, but a criminal can never think like a policeman). Reluctantly Sakthi passes all the tests and training in Civil service exams without any effort (due to high political influence). He takes charge as Assistant Commissioner of Police [law and order] of Madurai center, Sakthi gives free rein to Sivan and his henchmen, who wreak havoc over Madurai, until one of their activities inadvertently causes a gas leak which destroys a school and some nearby buildings, killing several people, including women and children. This incident, compounded by the assault of a woman (Meenal), whose husband was killed in the gas leak, by Sivan's henchmen when she had come to the police station to lodge a complaint against Sivan, causes Sakthi to take up the path of an honest and upright police officer. Sakthi's new persona is not liked by Sivan and after a heated argument between the two, he disowns Sakthi. A cat-and-mouse game then begins between Sivan and Sakthi, with Sivan, his henchmen and his family determined to humiliate Sakthi at every opportunity, while Sakthi, assisted by Shanthi and Gopal, tries to rid Madurai of Sivan's influence. Sakthi is soon promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police for his efforts.

Baldev Sahay (Ravi Teja) is shown to be a corrupt yet valiant police officer working as an Assistant Commissioner of police in Kolkata. In an attempt to save a dreaded gangster named Ganguly (Sampath Raj), he loses his life and Ganguly is kidnapped by Baldev's allies Kundan (Ajay) and Rajeev (Subbaraju). The Home Minister Jayavardhan (Mukesh Rishi) is concerned about Ganguly being apprehended. Upon hearing the news of Baldev's death, his mother loses consciousness and is admitted to the hospital. Jayavardhan promises to the people that he will apprehend Ganguly bhai and offers his resignation if he is not successful doing the same. The media and the people comment on how an honest man like Jayvardhand had a really bad brother. (At this point in the direction of the movie, the viewer is made to believe that Baldev Sahay is the brother of Jayavardhan).

The story begins with a notorious politician Ganga Prasad (Sayaji Shinde) and a clean politician Prabhakar (Prakash Raj) vying for the CM’s seat. An investigative journalist Shafi (Shafi) breaks a story on Ganga Prasad and reveals that he has some important information on the candidate aspiring to the next CM. In comes Maisamma (Jagapati Babu), a contract killer, who is assigned the task of finishing off Shafi by the SP (Ahuti Prasad). Once he is done with Shafi, Maisamma is given another photograph as the next contract. Meanwhile, it’s time for the hero’s debut and enters Srinu (Sai Dharam Teja) from Palakollu. He finds his way to Maisamma through Yadigiri (Raghu Babu) to seek his help to get rid of a person. Of course, Maisamma is not convinced and refuses to take up the task. That’s when Srinu narrates how he fell in love with Shailaja (Regina Cassandra) and why he wants Maisamma to finish off a man. The scene shifts to an engineering college where both Srinu and Shailu are students and from here on the story takes a few surprise twists and turns.

Siddharth Naayak kills Central Minister Rawat's brother, Taxi Seth, and his henchmen in order to save three men. Rawat orders a CBI Officer to catch the criminal so that he may be executed. In CgTrix, Hyderabad there works a software engineer, Cherry, who is a dead ringer for Siddharth. Cherry's uncle Jilebi, the CEO of CgTrix, unexpectedly runs into trouble, angering the local Don, Babji. Cherry saves Jilebi from Babji by manipulation, but in the process becomes romantically interested in Babji's sister, Madhu. After Cherry saves several children from a mafia don, Madhu reciprocates his love. This angers Babji and he goes to kill Cherry, but is shocked when he sees what he thinks is Cherry assassinating the DGP of West Bengal. The CBI Officer also misunderstands, believing that Cherry is responsible for the two murders, although Siddharth is the real murderer. With Jilebi, the CBI Officer goes to Kumbh Mela at Varanasi in pursuit of Cherry. As Rawat is offering holy rituals, the CBI Officer catches Cherry and holds him, however Siddharth rises from the Ganges and stabs Rawat with a trident, after which he fights with all of Rawat's guards. As he is about to kill Rawat, the CBI Officer attacks him with a taser and arrests him, thereby exonerating Cherry.

Prabhu Sivaanu (Siddharth) and his friends discuss the route from Bangalore to Chennai and plan to kidnap Rithika (Ashrita Shetty). Meanwhile her dad appoints encounter specialist Manoj Menon (Kay Kay Menon) who questions Rithika's male friend Deepak (Deepak) about Prabhu. The guy claims that Prabhu is a drug addict and was always trying to woo Rithika, who started to avoid him because of Prabhu. After that the plot continues when Manoj tries to track Prabhu and his friends. In the attempt, they track down a message from another friend Umesh asking Prabhu and friends to come to Bangarpet bus stand only to find Manoj and his team arresting the guy for more information. Manoj goes to a railway station where the train in which Prabhu and Rithika are travelling to Chennai. He finds Rithika and forcefully drags her into his jeep. As the flashback winds again (this time by Rithika), she fell for Prabhu after seeing him on many instances showing his presence of mind. As the flashback ends, Manoj finds Prabhu on the highway where he doesn't stop until he runs over pieces of glass put down by Prabhu. They get into a brawl where Prabhu loses and Manoj continues in the highway but has to stop in a railway signal. Prabhu takes his chance and threatens Manoj keeping his throat under a blade and taking Rithika with him. After a cat and mouse chase, Manoj calls Prabhu saying that his friend needs immediate treatment after an accident. He goes in search of Manoj and involves in a fight with him again. Now, after the stroke of midnight Rithika turns 18 giving her the right for choosing her partner. After that Manoj leaves the Highway as he couldn't do anymore according to law.
