Yoshito Yasuhara (安原 義人, Yasuhara Yoshito, born November 17, 1949 in Aioi, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese actor and voice actor. He is a member of Theatre Echo, a theatre troupe and talent management firm known for its comedy sketches. Yasuhara is known for being the Japanese dubbing voice of Mickey Rourke.

Un jour au début de l'été, le jeune Koichi Uehara rentre de l'école avec ses amis quand il trouve une pierre étrange qu'il prend pour un fossile. Il l'emporte chez lui et le lave, mais à sa grande surprise, le « fossile » s'anime au contact de l'eau et se révèle en fait être un petit kappa, une créature aquatique mythologique. Ce petit kappa a passé 300 ans en léthargie sous terre après avoir été enseveli par un tremblement de terre, juste après le meurtre de son père par un samouraï. Koichi soigne la créature, qu'il nomme Coo, et la garde chez lui.

L'équipage du chapeau de paille reçoit une étrange invitation, les conviant sur l'île de la fête (Omatsuri). Ils y font la connaissance du baron Omatsuri qui défie Luffy et ses amis à trois épreuves. Le film se déroule dans le royaume fictif d'Honnéamise, en un monde et une humanité alternatifs, ressemblants au monde et à l'humanité réels. L'armée a vu naître en son sein une section aérospatiale avec pour but avoué d'envoyer des hommes dans l'espace, entreprise jamais réalisée jusqu'alors et régulièrement réduite à l'échec. Alors que les autorités songent à stopper les financements de la Royal Space Force, l'incrédule Shiro se porte volontaire pour une nouvelle mission, fraichement convaincu du bien-fondé d'un tel voyage par sa rencontre avec la pieuse Riquinni. Mais les ennuis commencent avec l'entrainement et la construction d'une fusée, car le royaume traverse une crise économique et militaire qui pousse ses habitants à attendre des mesures plus sociales de la part du pouvoir.

Des pirates du ciel, la « bande de Dora », attaquent une forteresse volante ; ils recherchent une « pierre volante » appartenant à une jeune fille, Sheeta, retenue prisonnière. Cette dernière arrive à s'enfuir pour atterrir chez Pazu, un garçon de son âge. Tous deux découvrent qu'ils ont un point commun : Laputa, une île légendaire flottant dans le ciel. Le père de Pazu l'avait vue de ses propres yeux mais personne ne l'avait cru, le laissant mourir de chagrin ; mais Sheeta a cette « pierre volante » qui conduit jusqu'à l'île. Poursuivis par les pirates et le clan de Muska, l'homme voulant se servir de la jeune fille pour parvenir à régner sur ces terres, les deux enfants devront s'entraider pour y arriver avant eux.

The water planet Aquarius is heading towards Earth after flooding the home planet of the warrior race of the Dinguil. The Dinguil use warp technology to make the planet move towards Earth faster than usual. The warrior race plans to flood Earth and make it their new home. When Earth learns of this, they make plans to evacuate humanity. Unfortunately, the Dinguil destroy the evacuation fleets. The space battleship Yamato, under the newly revived Jyuzo Okita (who seemingly died in the first season of the original series) now has to fight the Dinguil and stop Aquarius from flooding the Earth.

The Yamato and her crew face the onslaught of the Comet Empire, a civilization from the Andromeda Galaxy that seeks to conquer Earth, led by Zwordar the Great (Prince Zordar in the English dub). The Earth ship is aided by an antimatter woman, Teresa of Telezart (known as Trelaina in the English dub), while the Comet Empire has revived Earth's greatest enemy, the Gamilas' leader Desslar, who is eager for revenge. After an immense battle destroys the forces of both Earth and the Comet Empire, the Yamato destroys the White Comet's cover, revealing the Empire City that hid inside it. After a long battle, Susumu Kodai orders everyone else off the Yamato before ramming her into the Emperor's ship head-on, sacrificing his life and the ship to defeat Zwordar and save humanity.
