Synopsis
Alaudin (Prabhu Deva) is a slum guy with a golden-heart, an orphan who fights against the injustice faced by his fellow slum dwellers. The people of Alli Kuppam bring him up. To fulfill the day-to-day needs of the poor, Alaudin decides to steal from rich people.Acteurs

Gopalakrishnan (Pandiarajan), a clever cook from Coimbatore, moves to an apartment in Chennai. He becomes quickly popular and appreciated among the apartment's women, however their husbands get jealous of Gopalakrishnan. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Usha (Kushboo). He decides to marry her with the support of his neighbours. After the marriage, Usha has just learned that Gopalakrishnan was already married. Gopalakrishnan got married with a girl (Sindhu) but she was already pregnant and she eloped with her lover that very evening. Usha is upset and refuses to live with him. Later, Gopalakrishnan finds a forsaken baby (by his ex-wife) in a dustbin and leaves the baby to an orphanage. Gopalakrishnan's father (Manivannan), an army officer, comes to live with his son and he helps his son to win back Usha's heart.

Prabhu (Prabhu Deva) est un lycéen. Le principal lui demande d'inviter le gouverneur du Tamil Nadu, Kakarlal Sathyanaryanamoorthy (Girish Karnad), qui sera le chef invité de la journée annuelle de l'Ordre. Alors qu'il se rend inviter Kakarlal (Girish Karnad), il rencontre sa belle fille, Shruthi (Nagma), et en tombe immédiatement amoureux, tandis qu'elle aussi tombe amoureuse de lui. Une crainte du terrorisme, ne permet pas la fille de Kakarlal (Girish Karnad) de se rendre n'importe où sans ses gardes du corps. À une occasion, elle s'enfuit avec Prabhu (Prabhu Deva) à un festival de danse. Peu de temps après, il y a une menace de bombe, et Shruthi (Nagma) est immédiatement ramenée chez elle, et Prabhu (Prabhu Deva) arrêté. Kakarlal (Girish Karnad) interdit à Shruthi (Nagma) de voir Prabhu (Prabhu Deva). Prabhu, libéré de garde à vue, après avoir été violemment frappé, va à ooty à la recherche de Shruthi (Nagma), ignorant l'évolution de la situation. C'est là qu'il trouve des preuves qui le conduiront au refuge d'un téméraire terroriste Mallikarjuna (Raghuvaran) qui est le cerveau des attentats à la bombe, et s'associe avec Kakarlal (Girish Karnad) pour tuer des innocents.

The movie starts projecting Prabhu (Prabhu Deva) as a Shop Keeper who sells toys to kids. Madhavan and his three friends, Charlie, Vyapuri and Venu, have a music troupe that sing at weddings. When friend and neighbour Ashwini puts some sense into Sneha, she decides to make amends. Incidentally, Ashwini had been hovering in the background doing almost nothing until she gets this scene to justify her presence in the film. But misunderstandings pile up between the lovers - the situations are all forced here - till the director leads the story to a desired happy ending.

Professor Ilango comes to his native village near Theni, with his college going daughter, Charulatha (Mamta Mohandas). Lot of candidates withdraw from the fray fearing death. The parties are in a fix on what to do. The Police are on the trace out for the killer. The Election Commission postpones the elections.

Murthy (Prashanth) earns his living taking the blame for the mistakes of other people and the jail is his second home. Dhanushkodi (Raghuvaran) has sworn to kill ex-collector Ramanathan's (Vijayakumar) son and so, Ramanathan has transferred his son Santosh (Pravinkanth) to Mauritius while telling the world that he has run away. Wishing to save his son, he hires Murthy to act as his long lost son, hoping that Dhanushkodi would kill him instead of his actual son. Murthy too accepts the gig since his lover Preeti (Jyotika) is Ramanathan's niece. In the climax, Santhosh supports Dhanushkodi for killing his father, But Dhanushkodi kills Santhosh. The film ends with Murthy taking the blame for killing Santhosh and surrenders himself to police.
