Ratnam, it stars his son Ravi Krishna, along with Gopika and Revathi in the lead roles, while Vidyasagar had composed the music for the film. The film is unrelated to the same-titled novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy. It was released in Telugu as "Muddhula koduku"
Synopsis
It is a story of a man named Venu who is very insecure of not being handsome. He has a scar from when his was a kid on his cheek. Nobody in the world uses his scar as a problem, he is left all alone. One day a friend suggests to get a surgery for his scar. His friend from his workplace tells him to get a part-time job.The next day he applies for a part-time job where she works at the pizza store. He works in the pizza store under a mickey mouse mask. There he loves a girl named Priya. Priya doesn't know how he look like. An incident happens where Priya sees him out at shopping plaza and she gets scared at the vase broke. At work he reveals his true face and he quits the job. He goes on with a new job as a garbage truck cleaner. He has no sleep due to lack of sleep. One day Priya comes to visit him seeks to forgive him. His sister and mother though of getting him married, but he didn't want to because of the lack of his handsome. That day he was very furious and got into many fights such as the neighbor will call him to feed her child. That very day his mother was in the hospital, she needed an operation. His mother said don't spend the money for his surgery for her. But she still took out the money for her surgery, but the mother died so soon. With the money now he decides to give it to his sister for an auto. In the end he decides to love Kani who is his neighbor.Acteurs

On a flight from Chennai to Delhi five passengers retrieve weapons hidden in the toilet and use them to hijack the plane. An engine is damaged during the struggle with the pilots so they make an emergency landing at Tirupati Airport. Government authorities arrive. The hijackers demand ₹100 Crore (c. US $22,000,000), the release of their imprisoned leader Yusuf Khan (Sricharan), and a fresh aircraft for their escape.

Karthik (Prithviraj) and Viji (Prakash Raj) are close friends, who are keyboard players in music director Vidyasagar’s team. They are brilliant in their work of re-recording and background scores. They are fun-loving, witty and share a great rapport. They come to live in an apartment complex where they meet a handful of interesting people. Their neighbour and flat secretary, Ananthakrishnan (Brahmanandam) is not too happy about Karthik occupying the flat and asks him to vacate as bachelors are not allowed to live there. Arjun (Allu Sirish) is a rich kid who has all the luxuries in life. One day, his dad sends him to a village called T Vennure for some business work. As Arjun's best friend Shanmugam also hails from that village, Arjun happily accepts to go there. On landing in the village, Arjun comes to know that his friend Shanmugam has eloped with Rajeswari, the daughter of Pashupathy (Prakash Raj), a rich land lord in the village who is hell bent to save his family's prestige always, and is missing from the past six months. After meeting Shanmugam's father (L.B. Sriram) and finding out some bitter truths about Shanmugam, Arjun decides to stay in the village and find his missing friend. A young lawyer Yazhini (Yami Gautam) assists him in his work. After finding a strong opposition from Pasupathy's son Saravanan (Harish) and Palani (Brahmaji), Arjun along with his friend Venky (Sricharan) and Yazhini assemble all their college friends as a group along with the neighbour village youth as a group to find the mystery behind Shanmugam and Rajeswari's absence from the village, only to know that they were killed and buried at the grounds of a Damaged Monument. Arjun stays back there to find out the reason behind the couple's death. After finding a help from Pasupathy's wife (Pavitra Lokesh) and Daughter in Law (Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli), Arjun files a case with the help of Yazhini. The case, though interrupted many times due to Saravanan's men, including the town's police, remains steady due to the efforts of Arjun and his friends. A fine day, on the request of Pasupathy's wife, Palani promises to help Arjun in the mystery. As promised he helps them by narrating the incidents happened actually.

During a walk to the park Raghuraman (Prakash Raj) meets Sudhakar (Prithviraj Sukumaran) and tells him about daughter Abhi (Trisha Krishnan). Raghuraman is the loving husband of Anu (Aishwarya Sivachandran) and the worrisome as well as caring father of his only daughter Abhi. Together they live a calm and content life in Ooty. Also living with them is "Ravi Shastri" (Elango Kumaravel) who was earlier a beggar and was adopted by Abhi. Raghuraman and Abhi become best friends. Over the years as Abhi grows up, Raghuraman has the joy of being a part of her life. When Abhi gets accepted in a prestigious college in New Delhi, Raghuraman is shocked. Although the thought of being separated from his daughter for two whole years is heartbreaking, Raghuraman wearily accepts. After returning from college, Abhi tells her parents that she has fallen in love with a young man in Delhi. Anu is perfectly all right with the idea, but Raghuraman is angry and scared. He shouts at Abi and does not talk to her properly. Anu later informs Raghuraman that their future son-in-law will be arriving by flight and staying with them for a while. As soon as Raghuraman meets his future son-in-law, Joginder Singh (Ganesh Venkatraman), he is taken aback because Joginder is a Sikh. After many conflicts with Abhi and Anu, Raghuraman finally realizes that Joginder is self-sacrificing and quite talented, more so when on one occasion the Prime Minister calls him for advice. Abhi and Joginder get married and leave for Delhi. Anu and Abhi get teary-eyed, but Raghuraman stays calm. This is very surprising because he was the one that had cried on his daughter's first day to school. Raghuraman tells Sudhakar that he still stays in touch with his daughter and often gets to see her. Sudhakar understands how Raghuraman feels because he has a baby daughter himself. The movie ends with a phone call from Abhi.

As a result of repeated physical and mental abuse the young boy takes up the wrong route to grow up. In the mean time, rival gangs and police try to kill Puli but is accidentally saved by his half-sister, a daughter from an affair that Prakash Raj had.

Au début du cinéma parlant, dans l'état du Pays Tamoul... Anandan (Mohanlal), acteur débutant et Tamizhselvam (Prakash Raj), auteur prolifique, deviennent les meilleurs amis du monde. Si, le premier vise le succès au cinéma, au prix de milles efforts, le second espère gravir les marches de la politique, avec l'appui d'un bon réseau. Tous deux, très prometteurs, dans leurs catégories, veulent absolument briller, dans leur pays. C'est alors (au début des années 1950) que Tamizhselvam suggère à son ami, Anandan, de le rejoindre au sein d'un parti régionaliste qui monte et emmené par son charismatique leader, Ayya Vélouthambi (Nasser). En vieux briscard de la politique, Ayya Vélouthambi y voit d'un bon œil l'occasion d'utiliser la notoriété grandissante d'Anandan, pour la vitrine de son mouvement. Il demande dans ce sens, à Tamizhselvam, de rédiger des scénarios qui servent aussi bien Anandan que la cause de leur idéologie. À présent figure incontournable et indispensable de leur courant (au début des années 1960), la star de cinéma (Mohanlal) est dans les petits papiers du fondateur (Nasser), ce qui porte ombrage au stratège (Prakash Raj) et lui fait naitre une pointe de jalousie. Plusieurs années plus tard (en1969), devenu le parti majoritaire, Ayya Vélouthambi décède d'une longue maladie, en plein mandat, laissant le poste vacant, mais aussi, confusions et questions qui vont mettre à mal l'amitié des deux hommes, à rude épreuve aussi bien Anandan que Tamizhselvam. Leur clans et entourage respectifs profitent pour souffler sur les braises de la discorde entre eux, jusqu'à la rupture, au point de non-retour. C'est ainsi qu'Anandan et Tamizhselvam vont prendre chacun leur chemin et s'opposer au sommet avec férocité, pour le poste de ministre en chef de leur pays. Amis encore hier, ils sont aujourd'hui, les pires ennemis...

Major Mahadevan (Mohanlal) is an officer deputed to the National Security Guards (NSG). He has been assigned to counter-terrorism duties in Kashmir and commands an elite group of NSG commandos. He calls back his buddy Havildar Jaikumar (Jiiva) from his honeymoon because he has information about major activities of the militants; he feels Jaikumar is needed for the team. The commandos raid a mosque in civilian dress and seize a big collection of arms and explosives. Later, during an operation focused on some cottages near the Dal Lake, a commando in the team is killed and an outraged Jaikumar shoots down a captured terrorist who challenges the commandos. A human rights activist (Shwetha Menon) learns about this and threatens to file a complaint with the government. She later understands the situation and the sincerity of the commandos and decides not to proceed with the complaint.
