The cast also includes Vijayaraghavan, Lalu Alex, Jagathy Sreekumar, Salim Kumar, Ambika and Nithya Menon. Plot of the film has got small resemblance to the Jim Carrey film Bruce Almighty (2003).
Synopsis
Maradonna (Shanthnoo) is an aimless youngster who likes to waste his time doing practically nothing other than fooling around. For him everything in life is Oru Rasam (just fun) and wants to take the easy way out and lacks focus in his life.Acteurs

Udayananu Tharam is the story of Udayabhanu (Mohanlal), a worshipper of films and an immensely talented assistant film director, who yearns to write and direct his own movie at a time when the industry is filled with dubious filmmakers. Rajappan Thengummoodu (Sreenivasan) is a rather crooked friend of Udayabhanu and an aspiring and failed actor. As Udayabhanu finally prepares to shoot his first movie based on his own script, he discovers to his horror that Rajappan has stolen his manuscript, and shooting is underway with Rajappan playing the lead, which eventually propels him to stardom. Udhayabhanu soon finds himself faced with a career and personal crisis, with his faltering relations with his superstar wife Madhumati (Meena Durairaj) contributing to the latter.

Jagathy Sreekumar - Kumar Kubera (Kumaran) and Oduvil Unnikrishnan - Prabhakara Prabhu (Prabhakaran)are former friends, business rivals and bitter enemies. Dr Sunny is a psychiatrist who is engaged to his girlfriend Annie. One day a girl named Reshma is admitted to Sunny's hospital by her brother Roy, who is a close friend of Sunny. Antony Varghese (Mohanlal) is a police officer who has been sent to a school as a teacher in disguise, to get details about the notorious Roy Mamman((Nassar)) who is behind terrorist attacks in the city. Madhavan Nair (Jose Prakash), a lorry driver is loyal and honest to his master Keshava Panicker (Adoor Bhasi). In return, Panicker offers him a lorry, and a house in which to stay along with his family consisting of Lakshmi (Kaviyoor Ponnamma), his wife and two sons. With time, Madhavan Nair turns into a rich businessman who owns several buses, automobile workshops, and trucks. Balachandran (Lalu Alex), his elder son runs his business, while Rajendran (Mohanlal), younger son is of carefree nature, who is also in his final years in college. Rajendran fells in love with Usha (Swapna), Panicker's daughter, while Balachandran is in love with Indu (Menaka), daughter of Varma (M. S Thrippunithara), an old feudal family, who had lost all his wealth with time. With the consent of parents both Rajendran and Balachandran marry their heart throbes. But life turns into more troublesome after the marriage. Both Indu and Usha gets into petty quarrels leading to serious clashes inside the house. Things even went out of hands with both the brothers getting into physical fights in front of the parents. In such a fight between Rajendran and Balan, Madhavan Nair and Lakshmi interferes, but accidentally, the blow hits on Lakshmi's head leading to her death, shocking everyone.

Puthoor Illam is a traditional family that practices positive tantricmagic under blessings of their family god Lord Garuda, popularly known as Sri Krishnaparunthu (The Eagle of Krishna) and Hanuman. The family is widely respected for their ability to revive near-dead people due to venomous snake bites using the sacred water through invoking Garuda. Pappu (Jagannatha Varma), who is the current magician of the family foresees his death and decides to transfer all his knowledge to his nephew Kumaran Thampi (Mohanlal). Kumaran, whose only interest is wine and women reluctantly accepts the decision, as the magician must vow to maintain extreme celibacy. Pappu transfers all his knowledge to Kumaran and dies. Thus Kumaran becomes the next magician of the locality famous for curing snake bites and warding off negative spirits.
