The film is produced by Gireesh Lal under the banner Gowri Meenakshi Movies and distributed by Reelax Eveents. It stars Mohanlal with Fahad Fazil and Asif Ali in lead roles. The film is scripted by newcomer Mammen K. Rajan based on a story by Noufal Blathoor. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Bijibal, with lyrics penned by Rafeeq Ahammed and Santhosh Varma. The film released on 21 March 2013.
Synopsis
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ratheesh Vasudevan (Mohanlal), tries to solve the murder of Anoop C V (Fahadh Faasil), a part-time actor in local plays. During the investigation, Vasudevan learns that the victim was involved in Leftist activities and opted for helping the local population rather than using his engineering degree to get a well paying job, Ramesh (Asif Ali) is a local vendor who is in debt and Navas (Saiju Kurup) is a friend of Anoop who makes films for advertisements.Acteurs

Nirnayam is based on 1993 American action film The Fugitive starring Harrison Ford as lead actor. Dr. Roy (Mohanlal) is an honest surgeon who works in a private hospital. The film opens with an illegal cockfighting competition held in a small village in central Kerala. Suddenly police enters in to the field and arrests Shivan (Mammootty), and Suku (Lalu Alex) for holding money betting. But on way, they are saved by village youths under Chellan (Bharath Gopi), a local goon, who is also a close buddy of Shivan. Both Chellan and Shivan share a strong friendship and are more like brothers. Shivan is in love with Chellan's younger sister (Seema) and Chellan and his mom have given green signal to it. Chandri ( Urvashi), the sister of Shivan, is his everything and his whole happiness revolves around her. Bhadran (Mohanlal), the younger brother of Chellan is too aggressive like him and picks up fight for every silly reasons. Its usually Shivan, who sorts out the fights that he picks up every day. Things are going very smoothy until one day Chandri gets pregnant. Chandri, in order to pacify Shivan reveals him that it is Chellan, who is responsible for this, whereas it was Thampi, her neighbor who was actually responsible. Shivan, in a sudden rage kills Chellan and surrenders at police station himself. Bhadran, but turns violent by this incident and vows to take revenge.
