It features Prasanna and Lekha Washington in the lead roles. Produced by Ananth Govindan and Arun Vaidyanathan under the Everest Entertainment banner, it was distributed by ABITCS Studios, Thirukumaran Entertainment and RPP Film Factory. Krishnan Vasant was the cinematographer and Arrora the music composer. The film released on 6 December 2013 and received positive reviews from critics.

The movie begins with two young kids who fight each other in a marriage hall. They meet after two decades, now Krishna (Prasanna) and Ramya (Laila) during a college cultural meet and again lock horns with each other. Fate brings them together in Chennai after a few years, again fighting with each other. Meanwhile, a series of events forces Krishna's close friend Aravindh (Karthik Kumar) to come to India from the USA to get married. His parents arrange his wedding with Ramya. Ramya, who decides to get married to help her younger sister's love, displays herself as a passive character who accepts whatever the life partner feel is right. On the contrary, she is bold, active, independent and assertive in nature. Knowing this, Krishna tries hard to let her true character come out. However, Aravindh stalls the wedding plans and returns to the USA as he finds Ramya as a person who does not think on her own and not independent. Mistaking Krishna for influencing Aravindh, Ramya locks horns with him.

Ramji Narayanaswami Iyer (Madhavan), a naive and docile Tamil Brahmin (Palakkad Iyer) cook, dreams of marrying off his sister Bhagyam (Divyadarshini) to a good family, as they are orphans and it becomes his sole responsibility. The entire film shoot was at Golden Rock, Tiruchirappalli. The story focuses on five friends Prabu, Elango, Sundar, Indra and Priya at the Madras Institute of Technology, who want to remain friends throughout their lifespan and hope to join the same company after graduation. On the night she is supposed to leave, she realizes that she doesn't wanna live this kind of robotic life with Arjun and tells him that she loves Karthik. She goes to the place where Karthik and Nisha's are going to get engaged. She professes her love but Karthik refuses her as she had done to him and leaves the place with Nisha. But then a song plays and Karthik reveals all of this is a play orchestrated by Nisha and him, make Aishwarya realize her mistake and to make her realize her love for him. The story ends with Karthik and Aishwarya reunited.
