Dr Sunny is a psychiatrist who is engaged to his girlfriend Annie. One day a girl named Reshma is admitted to Sunny's hospital by her brother Roy, who is a close friend of Sunny. Gradually Sunny finds out that she was traumatized after witnessing her boyfriend getting beaten to death by some of his colleagues. Sunny helps her to recover, but soon Reshma becomes obsessed with Sunny and falls in love with him. At the end, she kills Annie because of her illness.

Sagar Alias Jacky (Mohanlal) is a gangster who is known for solving problems among big gangs. The Chief Minister's(Nedumudi Venu) son-in-law, Manu(Manoj K Jayan) is kidnapped and the police are unable to find a clue. Manu's wife Indu(Shobhana) realises that the police have been influenced by her brother Hari(Ganesh) who seems to know the kidnappers. Indu decides to call her best friend Sagar to help find her husband. Sagar calls his best henchmen from all over Kerala for the job. The gang then travels to Goa where Sagar's contact tells him that the kidnappers are the Rosario brothers(Sampath Raj,Sherveer Vakil) who run the most powerful gang in the Goa underworld. After considerable difficulties, Sagar and his gang locate the night club where Manu is held hostage and helps him to escape. This audacity does not sit well with the Rosarios who swear vengeance against Sagar. They kidnap one of Sagar's favourite gangsters and demand ransom. Sagar responds by kidnapping two of the three Rosario brothers and demands that his man be released at once. Realising that they would never be able to defeat Sagar in a heads-on battle, the Rosario brothers make a deal with Manu and Hari to deliver Sagar's current location. The Rosarios then try to assassinate Sagar but fail. Frustrated with repeated defeats, the Rosarios then approach Sagar's rival, Nanthakrishna Naina(Suman). Naina supplies them with a sniper, Sheikh Imran(Rahul Dev), who is also an internationally infamous assassin. Imran is asked to assassinate Manu so that the Sagar can be framed for the murder. But the Rosarios' plan backfires as Indu gives witness that Sagar was not responsible for her husband's murder.

The story is about Sagar Alias Jacky (Mohanlal) & his accomplice Sekharankutty (Suresh Gopi). Rakkuyilin Ragasadassil is a family drama happening in a marital life with Mammootty and Suhasini playing the lead roles. The film begins when a widow comes with her child to a bungalow to see the Vikraman Nair; the lawyer (T.G. Ravi) of the owner (Sukumaran) of the bungalow. Vikraman Nair had a history with the widow where he cheated on her and captured all of her properties. She meets the lawyer and request's him to give her some money to live and provide for her child, but he was heartless and didn't give her anything and tried to drive them away. The servant of that bungalow saw this and felt pity towards them. So, he gave them a job at the bungalow. The widow's son (Mohanlal), the owner's son (Mammootty) and another servant's son (Devan) from that house became close friends. One day, Vikraman Nair tries to rape the widow and she dies in the fight. Sahadevan; the owner saw this incident and tries to call the police, but Vikraman Nair kill's him. The servant saw this and fled with the children. Vikraman Nair and his men went on a lookout to kill them, but he was unable to find them. During this chaos, The three friends lost contact with each other and grow's up in entirely different circumstances. Mammootty becomes a Mechanic while Mohanlal works for Vikraman Nair without the knowledge that he killed his mother and Devan becomes a Police Officer. They meet several times, yet they do not recognize each other. However, when they finally do; they move onto kill Vikraman Nair. During a fight, Sudhakaran stabs Vikraman Nair in the stomach with a knife, but when Sudhakaran comes down the stairs; Vikraman Nair shoots him from the back and he dies in the arms of Rameshan.

Madhavan, who calls himself M.A.Dhavan (Sreenivasan) is back in Kerala after spending a few years getting his MBA in USA. His schoolmate Shambhu (Mohanlal) is now working as a driver at his house, whom the now vain and snobbish Madhavan treats with disdain. Madhavan's parents want him to get married to Shobha (Lizy), daughter of Sardar Krishna Kurup (Jagathy Sreekumar), a rich and aristocratic businessman. Madhavan, who wants to observe his fiancée from a distance, decides to go to her house disguised as a driver and makes his driver Shambhu act as himself. Just minutes after they set out from he house, his parents telephone Krishna Kurupp about their son's scheme. Various mishaps on way end up with Madhavan discarding his plan and deciding to visit as himself. Unaware of the change in plan, Kurup and wife have the driver Shambhu mistaken for the prospective groom and Madhavan as the driver. The prospective in-laws dote over Shambu, ignoring Madhavan, who is unaware of the impression that Kurup and wife are under. In the meantime Shobha, who also mistakes Shambhu as the fiance, falls in love with him. At the same time, Sardar Koma Kurup (Kuthiravattam Pappu), is in a big fight with Krishna Kurup for past long years. Both are trying to capture the power at the Nethaji Club, a reputed social club for personal reasons. Damu (Maniyanpilla Raju) enters inside the house of Koma Kurup and wins his heart. But the real intention of Damu is to kill Koma Kuruppu and marry his daughter Aruna (Priya), so that he could grab the whole property. But one after another, the attempts of Damu to kill Koma Kurup fails, with each time, he hurting himself. It was then, Shivan (Mukesh), a friend of Damu arrives at the house of Koma Kurup as the brother of Damu, who also makes everyone believe that he is a heart patient. He succeeds in winning the heart of Aruna, destroying the plans of Damu. Thus the two love stories, one between Shambhu and Shobha and the other between Shivan and Aruna, blooms side by side. This unites Shambhu and Shivan against Madhavan and Damu. Madhavan hires Kadathanatt Pappan Gurukkal (Cochin Haneefa), a known goon to beat up Shambhu, but instead, he himself got beaten up by Shambhu. This incident makes Shambhu to force Krishna Kurup to conduct the marriage within three days. But, everything turns more messy as the parents of Madhavan makes a surprise visit at the house of Sardar Krishna Kurup. They finds the foul play of Shambhu, and Krishna Kurup, who realizes the mistake decides to get his daughter married to Madhavan. Shobha, who by this time is in love with Shambhu is adamant that she won't marry Madhavan. The marriage venue and date is fixed. At the same time Sardar Koma Kurup also finds out that his daughter is in love with Shivan, a jobless chap, which he objects to. At the marriage venue both Shambhu and Shivan are denied entry. They calls up police by informing that there is gold hidden by Krishna Kurup at the marriage hall. Police enters the venue and then happens a long fight packed with several comic incidents. In the end, with the help of police inspector (Jagadish), Shambhu marries Shobha and Shivan marries Aruna. This tragic incident unites both Krishna Kurup and Koma Kurup. Everything ends well and both couples starts their married life with the blessing of all others including Madhavan and Damu.
