Synopsis
Changathipoocha tells the story of two aged brothers Sreedharan Nair (Nedumudi Venu), who is also the Kunnathur Panchayath President and Raman Nair (Jagathy Sreekumar), the opposition leader who are constantly at loggerheads owing differences in opinion regarding ancestral property. Raman Nair is also known as 'Kuliru', because he always goes out without wearing shirt. But everyone else in their family, including Sreedharan Nair's daughter Priya (Ramya Nambeeshan) and Raman Nair's daughter Sreedevi (Radhika) are close to each other, sharing every part of their family fun. The news about the return of their sister Bhanumathi, who had been away for years, creates shock to Raman Nair especially because Bhanumathi's share of the property is at present under his control and even the house he is living in rightfully belongs to her.Acteurs

Sreekumar (Jayasurya), son of an idealistic political activist Achukoodam Madhavettan (M. R. Gopakumar), is determined to get a doctorate in linguistics. Although mired in poverty, he works hard on his thesis. But his life is made difficult by his research guide and his thesis gets rejected. He decides to abandon his studies and find a job. That's when his friend, Sneha (Remya Nambeesan), helps him get a job at a pig farm. When he opposes some unhealthy practices at his workplace, he is relegated to a menial job at the pig sty. The film is a journey through the minds of Mohanakrishnan, a fashion photographer living in Kochi. He was earlier based in Mumbai, and is separated from his wife, Jyotsna Mathew, a model and an aspiring actor who lives in Mumbai with their child. The comical film introduces us to a small village and its funny characters. The narrator (M. G. Soman in the prologue) informs of its developments and day-to-day activities. Soon, it slowly focus to the problems discussed in the Panchayat office (fights do occur between two factions in a comical way), in which the main problem is the absence of a veterinary doctor. The leaders of the opposition faction, Nanappan (Jagathy Sreekumar) and Uthpalakshan (Pappu), gives a final ultimatum to the Panchayat president Unnikannan Nair (Nedumudi Venu) to resign his post if he can't find a vet within days.
