Dharkan is an Indian film directed by Devendra Goel and released in 1972. The movie stars Sanjay Khan, Mumtaz, Rajendra Nath, Helen, Alankar Joshi (child artist), Roopesh Kumar and Bindu (in a cameo role). It was produced and directed by Devendra Goyal and music was given by Ravi.
Synopsis
It is the story of rebirth of millionaire child Deepak Rai who accidentally shoots his friend, Suraj Prakash (Sanjay Khan) at the age of 10 and believing him to be dead, runs away from home. 14 years later, Deepak discovers that Suraj Prakash is not dead and decides to go back home with friend Kewal Sharma. On discovering that Deepak is a millionnaire, Kewal Sharma kills Deepak on the train journey to Deepak's home city (Anandgiri) and starts living Deepak's life. Meanwhile, the real Deepak Rai (killed) is reborn as Rekha's (Mumtaz's) brother. 5 years later, Kewal Sharma marries Rekha, who is Suraj Prakash's girlfriend. On discovering that Rekha's husband is a drunkard and a womaniser, Rekha's father dies of a heart attack and Rekha's brother (Doby, rebirth of actual Deepak Rai) comes to stay in Deepak Rai's house. Doby, aged 5 by now, knows all about the house and the estate, although he has never been there before in his present life. Suraj Prakash and friend, Inspector Darshan (Rajendra Nath) figure out the mystery behind Doby's familiarity of the place and decide to collect enough evidence against Kewal Sharma to prove him guilty of his crime of murder and deceit.Acteurs

Somna lives a poor lifestyle with her widowed mom, Leela, in the mountainous region of India and Nepal. She makes a living working on the apple farm of wealthy widower, Kailash Nath Kaushal. Kaushal also runs a mountaineering school where Amar Kumar is one of his students. Somna and Amar meet, fall in love and decide to get married shortly after Amar returns from a climbing expedition. A few days later, following an avalanche, they get the news that Amar and the other climbers have been killed.

Geeta and Rita are sisters of Mr. Verma, the owner of Nan Ching Chung hotel. Rita is in love with Brij and Geeta helps her elope and get married. Geeta is infatuated by Pradeep, a singer and musician. When she finds out he is in town she makes several attempts to meet him but fails. Pradeep meets Geeta when she is helping Rita elope and in some scuffle and misunderstanding he thinks Geeta is trying to escape some people out to get her. He helps take her to the police station where she claims to have been abducted by Pradeep himself. Mr. Verma arrives and fed up with his daughters antics he sends them to another town where they enroll in a school to learn music. The music teacher is Pradeep, a fact Geeta knew from before. She again helps her sister to go off on her honeymoon with her husband, while pretending to be Rita to keep up pretenses of her still being at the academy. Her masquerade leads to several funny situations in the film. Eventually the situation unravels, the father accepts Rita's wedding and Geeta and Pradeep are united.

Before giving birth to her child, Ratna (Meena Kumari) loses her husband, and eventually gives birth to a son, Raju. Four years later, Dr. Anand, who treated her while she was giving birth to Raju (Honey Irani) re-enters her life and soon becomes a frequent visitor, much to the displeasure of Ratna's mother-in-law (Mumtaz Begum) and her husband's sister Bela, both of whom start maltreating her and making her life miserable. Anand stops visiting thereafter. Anand soon marries a nurse called Maya Verma (Minu Mumtaz). Maya is a squanderer, and her relationship with Anand falters. Moreover, he later finds out that she cannot conceive. When Anand's dad passes away, he leaves considerable wealth to Anand's child, including a fair monthly allowance. Maya plots with an advocate, S. Prakash (Sunder), who happens to be Bela's husband, to fabricate a story that Anand's father was mentally unbalanced while writing the testament. This plan fails, and along with her aunt, Nurse Sarla Verma (Nilambai), make a false statement claiming that Ratna's son is actually Anand's biological son, leading to their lawyer filing a custodial case in court.

Mohini (Naina Sahu) is a medical student, and lives at home with her father Kishenlal Saxena Nazir Hussain, a college Professor, and her ailing mother. Her neighbours are Bipin (Shiv Kumar) and his parents. Bipin and his friends have just returned to their town from Bombay after completing their studies. One of Bipin's friends, Ravi Mehra (Biswajeet), is the son of a wealthy businessman, Amarchand Mehra (Sapru). Ravi and Mohini meet and fall in love. Bipin also loves Mohini but has never expressed his feelings. When Ravi leaves to go abroad for further studies, he promises he will get green bangles for her, as a symbol of marriage. However, soon after he leaves, Mohini is told by their family doctor that she is pregnant. Vilified and expelled from college, her father is her only support especially since her mother dies soon after hearing the news.
