Alberto is a jeweler whose wife, Silvina, has kicked him out of his house because of his slovenly lifestyle. Having no other place to go, the newly divorced Albert asks his friend Mauricio if he can stay at his home. Mauricio is the owner of an imported car dealership and lives a very neat, routine, and quiet lifestyle -- the opposite of Alberto. The entry of Alberto into Mauricio's life and their radically clashing personalities results in both awkward and hilarious situations.

Carmelo, is 30 years old and extremely shy. He finds it difficult to reveal his innermost feelings to Verónica his coworker. When Verónica announces that she is engaged to be married to a rich and handsome man, Carmello is heartbroken. In an odd twist of fate Verónica sees Carmelo at a gay rally, and assumes that he is gay. Carmelo doesn't correct this impression and finds the ruse as a way to open up to her. Verónica soon falls for Carmelo, and leaves her fiance for her "gay" boy friend, who then reveals his real orientation.

Bob de Rooy is an arrogant, egotistical man who divorces his well-meaning, but very naive wife Annie, because she's unable to provide him the right amount of sex in their married life. After the divorce is settled, Bob goes to the red light district in Amsterdam to catch up what he has been missing all those years. There he starts an affair with a prostitute who turns out to be the daughter of gangster boss Don Gorgonzola. When the criminal boss finds out that his daughter has an affair with Bob, who arrogantly makes fun of him on the phone and hangs up before he does, Bob and his newfound love have to flee to Curaçao. Meanwhile Annie falls in love three times, first with a notorious criminal who is later shot by one of Gorgonzola's henchmen, then with a man who dies of cancer and later one of Gorgonzola's henchmen who exploits Annie's innocence to let her smuggle drugs to Curaçao. There Annie and Bob meet again.
