Ramanaa begins with the abduction of fifteen Tehsildars. After three days in captivity, fourteen of the officers get released. However, one of the men gets murdered. The police finds a tape recording and a file from the man's body. This evidence exposes that the kidnapping and subsequent murder were committed by members of the self-proclaimed "Anti-Corruption Force" (ACF), a citizen militia seeking to eliminate corruption by any means necessary. The militia, acting as a kangaroo court, "sentenced" officials in the area to death - beginning with the captured revenue officers who were apparently engaging in criminal activity.

Balettan is the story of Athaniparampil Balachandran (Mohanlal) who is known for his service in the society. His father (Nedumudi venu) is a retired postmaster. He lives with his wife Radhika (Devayani) and two children. Circumstances turn him as a debtor and he is arrested in a cheating case but he manages to solve all those problems with his father's pension money. One day a stranger (Riyaz khan) comes to meet Balachandran .He introduces himself as Bhadran and ask his help for marrying her sister. Balachandran gets angry and this leads to a violence in the house and his father asks him to leave the house. On the next day while travelling in a bus his father has a heart attack and is admitted to hospital. Later he calls Balachandran and reveals that he has another family. Balachandran, on hearing this shocking fact is stood shock stricken unable to accept his father's words while his father suffers another cardiac arrest which leads to his death. In his death bed he asks Balachandran to take care of his second family and also request that his mother should never come to know about this. The rest of the story tells how Balachandran manages to solve all the problems.

Sakthi (Prashanth) studying in a college in the city & he gets into quarrels every other day. Neelaveni (Kiran) who accompanies her relatives falls in love with Sakthi. Kattadurai is supposed to marry Neelaveni. Many event follows. Kattadurai often clash with Sakthi & gets beaten up. Amidst the wedding preparation a group of former enemies (Rajkapoor, Anuradha) along with Neelaveni’s father (Prathap Singh) kidnap Neelaveni. Sakthi goes after them. After a huge tussle whether Sakthi brings back Neelaveni, Whether they unite or not is the rest of the story.
