Gowramma is a 2005 Kannada romantic comedy film starring Upendra and Ramya in the lead roles. The film was directed by Naganna' and produced by Shailendra Babu. It is the third among a series of successful films under Upendra - Naganna combination. The film also starred Srinivasa Murthy, Doddanna, Ramesh Bhat, Komal, Sadhu Kokila, and Satyajit in supporting roles. A huge success at the box office, Gowramma was one of the highest grossing Kannada films of 2005.

Julie (Ramya) is a young Christian woman who finds herself pregnant after giving into a night of passion with Shashi (Dino Morea), a Hindu follower and her childhood sweetheart. Kushi (Radhika Pandit), Pratham (Tarun) and Sharan attend an interview where all the 3 are selected. Based on Ira Levin's 1953 novel A Kiss Before Dying, it is a contemporary thriller about revenge. The main character is Ajay Sharma (Upendra). His father, Vishwanath Sharma (Sadhu Kokila), once owner of a great business empire, was defrauded by Madan Chopra (Dalip Tahil), a trusted employee in Vishwanath's company. The Sharma family is ousted from their own company and loses everything they owned. Soon afterwards, Ajay's father and his young baby sister die due to illness, unable to buy medicine because of their destitute state. His mother is now suffering from mental illness and memory loss.
