Natarajan for Prisam Films. The film stars Shaam, Arun Vijay, Kutti Radhika and Seema Biswas. This film was a low-budget production and the soundtrack was composed by Vidyasagar. This love story is set against the backdrop of a lost ship on an island. It enjoyed relative success in the Kollywood box office. The soundtrack was a great hit but most importantly, the film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil for 2003, competing with Virumaandi and Pithamagan as that year's submissions. This movie is loosely based on Dostoyevsky's "White Nights".
Synopsis
Iyarkai is a familiar love triangle that plays out in unfamiliar surroundings. It revolves around a girl and the two men who love her but by placing the happenings in a port town of Rameswaram, the director manages to give the proceedings a fresh feeling.Acteurs

Sarika Vartak (Urmila Matondkar) est une naïve et modeste employée qui vit seule à Mumbai. Ram (Shaam) and Lakshman aka Lucky (Allu Arjun) are brothers and are polar opposites in nature. There is the innocent Brahmin-boy Satya (Navdeep) who comes from Nagercoil to Chennai to join an engineering college. And then his problems begin one by one when he encounters the dreaded don Adhi Narayanan (Prakash Raj), who is actually Satya's father and his hot-blooded son Kutty (Arya). Satya's girlfriend Sandhya (Sameksha) is accidentally wounded in a shootout between Adhi's gang and his rivals. A driving instructor (Vikram), who calls himself by various names such as "James Bond", "Mani Ratnam", "Sunil Gavaskar" etc. (but never reveals his actual name), is assigned by a local goon Doss (Pasupathy) to deliver a "package" to one Pooran Singh (Abhimanyu Singh) in Mussoorie. The "package" is Shakeela (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), an orphaned woman who has failed her driving test 14 times. The driving instructor is constantly irritated by Shakeela's antics during the journey to Mussoorie, but soon falls in love with her after finding out that she is an orphan. At Mussoorie, he learns from Pooran Singh that Shakeela is to be "delivered" to one Daksha Bhai (Rahul Dev), an upper-caste landlord from an Uttarakhand-based village. He "delivers" Shakeela to Daksha Bhai and is invited to stay at his ancestral mansion for a couple of days. During the stay, he finds out why Shakeela has been "delivered" to Daksha Bhai.

Since that day, Sorna wanted to take revenge. Raja and Indhu are distraught, Sorna only wanted to punish Kai Ezhuthu Gounder and Kai Naattu Gounder but not the young lovers, so she comes to their rescue. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
