Kathiravan (Tamil: கதிரவன்) is a 2011 Tamil-language Drama-Thriller film written and directed by Noufal.Nassar, Mahadevan, Devan, Thambi Ramayya, Vayyapuri and Shyam Ganesh play supporting roles. The film's story revolves around a girl, Aarti, whose family were murdered and the murderers are waiting for a chance to kill her too.

In her childhood, Madhu befriends a boy in a village. Her uncle comes and insults the boy for being a tribal. Unending caste discrimination surrounds Puliangulam and Vepangulam villages to such an extent that small incidents lead to shedding of blood to very large extents. Under such circumstances, Sakthivel (Simbu), son of Puliangulam Periyasamy (Raj Kiran), falls in love with Angel Devi (Sonia Agarwal), daughter of Vepangulam Soosai (Nazar). Prudhvi (Nitin Kumar Reddy) & Shashank (Shashank) are the leaders of two warring students groups in a Hyderabad college. They are fond of rugby union game and they sort the things out between them by playing rugby to prove superiority. One fine day, a local mafia leader Bhikshu Yadav (Pradeep Rawat) gets a court notice that he has purchased the land of college from its legal heirs. The groups of Prudhvi and Sashank unite together by forgetting differences to fight a united cause of winning back the land for college. After getting affected by assaults of students, Bhikshu Yadav throws a challenge to defeat his team in a game of rugby union to win back the land for their college. The rest of the story is all about how Prudhvi leads his team to the victory.
