Ajouter à une liste de filmsKotha Bangaru Lokam (English: A New Golden World) is a 2008 Telugu movie directed by debutant Srikanth Addala and produced by Dil Raju. The film stars Varun Sandesh and Shweta Prasad in the lead roles, and Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha and Brahmanandam in supporting roles.
Released on 9 October 2008 amidst the Vijayadashami celebrations, the film became one of the biggest blockbusters of the year in Telugu cinema and successfully completed 100 days, winning several accolades. The movie was dubbed into Malayalam with the title Ithu Njangalude Lokam, becoming a big success. The movie was also dubbed in Hindi as Pavitra Bandhan. The movie was remade in Kannada by S.Narayan and cast his son Pankaj and Roopika in the lead roles. The Television rights of the film was sold to Zee Telugu
Mickey J Meyer's Background Score and melodious soundtrack stood as the highlights of the movie. Srikanth Addala catapulated teen story into an epic drama by elevating scenes and creating a pleasant mood to audience. "Ne prashnalu" song sung by SP Balu and penned by Sirivennala makes the audience to hold breath and bringing the film to a perfecting climax.
Synopsis

A kindhearted man, known as "Relangi mavayya" ("Relangi Uncle") by his family, lives in the village of the same name. His middle-class family consists of his wife, mother, niece Seetha and three children: two sons (Peddodu, "the elder" and Chinnodu, "the younger") and a daughter, Chinni. Peddodu is an introvert, who lives life on his own terms and is unsociable. Although Seetha wants to marry him, her love is apparently unrequited. Chinnodu is the opposite of his brother. He falls in love with Geetha, the daughter of Seetha's paternal uncle who is jealous of Chinnodu's father and denigrates his family's economic status. Although the family is close-knit, the brothers do not communicate well with each other.

Chakram (Prabhas) is a foreign returnee and has a dream of building a hospital at Pulivendula. He is in love with his colleague, Lakshmi (Asin Thottumkal) who studied with him abroad. Vishwanath (SP Balasubramanyam) is a multi-millionaire industrialist. The film begins with a baby taking his first steps on a beach supported by his father. The narrator (Murali Mohan) states that, it is right for a father to support his child in his infancy, but questions whether the father should continue to hold the child's hand even after he is 24 years old.
