The film stars Shivrajkumar and Upendra, teaming up together again after Preethse. The film also stars Charmy Kaur, Jennifer Kotwal and Ruthika in the lead roles. The film was produced by Prabhakar under his Vijaya Productions banner.
The film revolves around two close friends who are part-time conmen. Circumstances force them to separate from each other and later realize to get back together again.

The film is narrated in a non-linear fashion, with the use of several multiple flashbacks. In the opening scene, a dreaded underworld don is brutally hacked to death by unknown assailants. The police arrive at the crime scene and arrest the unknown assailant revealed as the superstar hero of the movie. The murder is revealed to be the handiwork of a novice, Madesha alias Jogi, played by Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar who works in a roadside tea stall.

Simbhu is elected college chairman after he beats Charmi, the daughter of Ravishankar(Radharavi), a minister. Predictably, the two soon fall for each other though they never directly reveal it. But when Ravishankar comes to know of the love affair, he is staunchly against it, and is willing to go any distance to make sure that it never succeeds. At home, Simbu's father(Prakashraj) mentally tortures his wife(Seetha) since he suspects her of having an affair with her ex-lover. B. Shankar (Shivaraj Kumar) is born and raised in Delhi. He will be studying Engineering at the Banaras Hindu University. He has a doting father B. Sundara Rao(Anant Nag) and a loud, annoying and a threatening mother. Shankar has a younger brother, a pilot. Shankar is content with his life, but something in his heart tells him this is not where he belongs. Shankar’s girlfriend (who lives in Delhi) Varalakshmi (Vidhya Venkatesh) is a Kannadati. His college friend Seetharam(Raju Ananthaswamy) from Karnataka, teaches him Kannada to talk with Varalakshmi. When Shankar returns to Delhi, his mother plans to marry him off and he reluctantly agrees to meet his bride-to-be. In the party, During the conversation he realizes the letter "B" in his name is for "Bangaadi". But he doesn't know whether Bangaadi is a person or a town, and is curious about its significance. When Shankar is speaking in Kannada with his brother over the phone for fun, his father hears it. And his father says, "Speak in Kannada, my son. It has been so long since I have heard that language". Then, Shankar discovers he is a Kannadiga and is happy that he's at least found his Origin. His father confesses that his father (Shankar's Grandfather) abandoned his native but he didn't try to go back even once. Shankar wants to discover his native.

Mass (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is an orphan, who bonds well with his landlord's son Adi (Sunil). He is behind a collegian Anjali (Jyothika) who happens to be the daughter of Vizag city's mafia don Satya (Raghuvaran). This restricts her from falling for him, as it would land him in danger but she finally gives in after some time. Finally his quest for revenge is completed, and also he eliminates the anti-social elements in the society by killing them.
