Synopsis
A book that belongs to the Hindu god of death, Yamadharman, accidentally drops to earth. This book can be used to kill or save any human’s life by writing his/her name in one of the pages of the book. An antihero character called Gopi(Karthik) gets a hold of the book and abuses its powers for his selfish needs.Acteurs

Indu and Chandru (Ramba and Karthik) fall in love. Indu does the disappearing act and Chandru gets engaged to Rekha (Mumtaz). Indu re-appears after three years with a little girl, who she claims is Chandru's daughter. Chandru vehemently denies it and finding Indu's presence an embarrassment tries to ferret out the truth. After many scenes of forced comedy, we learn that the girl is the illegitimate daughter of Chandru's much-married brother, who had seduced Indu's sister. After his brother's futile attempt to play the villain, Chandru latches on to Indu fast enough. And with no apology to Rekha. But it is not really Chandru's fault. For Rekha had done the disappearing act from the scene early enough without any explanation either.

Marthandan lives with his parents in a palace. He sets out to Chennai to find a girl. There he meets "Idea Mani" (Goundamani), who is very cunning and tries to make money from the innocent Marthandan in comical ways. He meets a girl (Kushboo) in a bakery and befriends her. Raja (Karthik) feels stifled under his strict father Col. Chandrasekhar (Jaiganesh) and when his father picks a girl he doesn't like for him to marry, it is the last straw and he runs away to Ooty. There he teams up with Vasu (Goundamani) and they come up with an ill-advised plan to kidnap Indu (Rambha), the daughter of Vishwanathan (Manivannan). Vishwanathan is in fact Col. Chandrasekhar's friend and it is Indu that Raja was supposed to marry. But Vishwanathan now mistakes Vasu to be his friend's son and takes him under his wing while Raja is hired to be his driver.

The story begins with a group of government officers who come to list the number of devastated houses. The officers promised them to give a big amount to build their house but in exchange for a little amount to register their name. So the illiterate villagers, who wants to make easy money, demolish their house. The officers turn out to be frauds. The village panchayat president (Vinu Chakravarthy) knows that the villagers will not interfere in his decision until they are uneducated. Sivaraman, a new school teacher, tries to change their custom and the children are happy to learn at school. Soon, Sivaraman has trouble with the village head.

Ponrasu (Vignesh) returns to his village after studying in the city. Raghu (Rahman), an atheist archaeologist, and his father (Vijayachander) went to an isolated village for research. During the research, his father disappears mysteriously and Raghu finds out a strange prophecy : God will come to earth on Purnima day at the Nagakali Amman temple and the people who will submerge completely under the waterfall near the Nagakali Amman temple will be cured of any disease. His colleague Pathma (Vinodhini) informs her blind friend Divya (Gouthami) who is journalist and the news reaches the public. Pathma is in love with Naveen (Riyaz Khan), who is in the final stages of cancer. Soon, an atheist terrorist group, led by Saravanan (Ramki), try to destroy the temple. Saravanan has a tragic past : his sister and his brother-in-law were a devotee who were brutally killed by the temple's donor. In the meantime, the police officer Hari (Nassar), Divya's brother, is charged with eradicating the terrorist group. Pathma believes in this prophecy, so she gets married to Naveen and takes him to the temple. Divya compels Hari to come with him to restore her sight and he agrees to do so. Few days before the God's arrival, the Nagakali Amman temple is overcrowded. A race against the clock starts.
