Synopsis

Herbert Lyutak est un psychologue spécialisé dans le domaine de la criminologie, et de ce fait il collabore régulièrement avec la police. Mais ce dernier est également un tueur en série amateur de jeunes femmes. Il vient de commettre son septième crime en l'espace d'un an. Impuissant avec son épouse Marzia, il retrouve sa virilité à travers ses pulsions sadiques qui le poussent à commettre des crimes. Frigide et vierge, Marzia trouve du réconfort dans les bras de son amie lesbienne Joaquine et sa bonne. Pourtant, l'étau se resserre autour de son mari. En fouillant dans ses affaires, Marzia découvre un linge tâché de sang, confirmant ce qu'elle avait deviné : il est un meurtrier. Quant à lui, alors qu'il seconde la police sur les meurtres qu'il a lui-même commis, un témoin le met en danger. Le patron d'un rade au juke-box, dans lequel Lyutak a fait connaissance avec sa dernière victime avant de partir avec elle, vient témoigner et assure que le psychiatre lui a proposé de la conduire chez elle. Désormais suspect, il est serré par ses collègues policiers. Mais, très vite, un nouveau meurtre va le sortir de cette mauvaise posture. Une jeune femme est retrouvée étranglée dans une cabine téléphonique. Possédant un alibi en béton, puisqu'il était en compagnie des policiers au moment du meurtre, Lyutak décide de mener sa propre enquête pour démasquer le deuxième tueur qui s'inspire de son modus operandi pour assassiner ses victimes. Pendant ce temps, une indic de la police, Dorothée Heindrich, retrouve un couteau appartenant Lyutak mais elle est sauvagement tuée lors d'un jeu sado-masochiste.

The story is set in a small town near Naples early 1900. Baron Antonio Peletti is a stingy and cruel man who thinks only to spend the bare minimum needs for his son and future daughter-in-law, even if he lives in a luxurious house. The servant Contrado is forced to go hungry because of that miser, in fact every time that Antonio has to spend even a penny to buy something complained of unnecessary waste, exclaiming: "And I pay, and I pay!!" But one day his grandson who want to steal the box full of gold coins Antonio, hide under the bed has a way of revenge. But in order to steal the tape, the grandson needs the complicity of all higher institutions in the country, including the mayor, one of the most bitter enemies of Antonio. In fact, the man wants to build a primary school for the children of the village, but the cruel Antonio prevents the funding because they do not want to throw out a penny!. So the pharmacist really wants to deceive Antonio with a sleeping pill into believing that it gave him to drink a poison accidentally. Antonio bait this trap and believed to be in Hell, really desolate set up by the villagers, and then the hairs Baron finds a soul who persuades him to donate money to the mayor of the box to set up the school. Only then Antonio would be redeemed from their sins in the past and would go to the Paurgatory. However, during the operation something is wrong and Antonio realizes the trap of the villagers. The nephew not to lose money steals the cassette and runs away in a balloon with his girlfriend but Antonio joins him and the three hovering in the air. But due to a failure of the balloon starts to descend towards the sea and so must lighten it; Antonio will be forced into tears and throw away his box full of gold coins. He is now supposed to be sunk somewhere near Sardinia, but at the end of the story the baron, coming back from the island on a monkey in the very day of inauguration, eventually understands his mistakes and accepts to finance the project of founding the school.

Marco Ravicchio, responsable des relations publiques d'une modeste société de production cinématographique italienne, part pour Buenos Aires pour présenter un film lors d'un festival. Il est accompagné d'un scénariste vorace et sordide, deux actrices sans talent à la recherche de publicité et une troisième actrice, Luciana, qui n'est plus très jeune et qui espère trouver un mari argentin fortuné. A Buenos Aires, le groupe est importuné par un riche émigrant italien, l'ingénieur Marucchelli, qui a fait de la nostalgie son passe-temps favori. Marco n'obtient pas de le prêt de son ami Stefano, émigré des années auparavant et demande l'argent à l'ingénieur Marucchelli qui ne lui donne que des belles paroles. A la fin du festival, le groupe retourne en Italie avec un peu d'expérience et beaucoup déception.
