Chandrasekhar and produced and written by his wife Shoba Chandrasekhar which marked the debut of the their son Vijay in the lead role alongside Keerthana and Easwari Rao. The film which also featured Srividya, Radharavi and Sarath Babu, had music composed by newcomer Manimekalai, cinematography by R. P. Imayavaramban and editing by Gautham Raju. The film released to mixed reviews on 4 December 1992.

The film deals with student strength. Sivaraj (Vijay), a college student is leading a happy go lucky life, having a nice time with his friends, until two of his friends fall in love. Facing stiff opposition from the girl’s father, all the friends get together and get the couple married. But the married girl was gang raped in the college campus, by Madhan, the son of a politician. Unable to get justice in court, Siva along with his friends takes it upon himself to avenge his friend’s death, but pays a very heavy price. His mother will be killed by the politician and they lose at court. Now Shiva must get justice in his own way. He can kill Madhan and his father.

Vijay (Vijay) is the grandson of Manorama while Anitha (Sanghavi) is the daughter of Raghavan(Vijayakumar) and Bhagyalakshmi (Sri Vidya). Anitha's family rent one of Manorama's houses. The story- A local thug and criminal who kills people like mosquitoes Masanam (Prakash Raj) slowly rises up the ranks to be a Minister. We have Shakthivel (Nithin Sathya) a die-hard fan of actor Vijay who studies in a city college. He falls in love with the wicked minister's sister Thulasi (Sindhu Tolani) and challenges him (he has a reason for that) and a cat and mouse game ensues. What follows is a series of incidents between the two that leads to a melodramatic climax.

Ravi Shankar (Ravi Krishna) and Sandhya (Natassha), students of a college in Dindigul Tamil Nadu, are love birds.Sandhya but faces problem in her home as her mama has false eye on her.One day he peeps into her bathroom,she complains it to her stepmother but she encourages him and tells her that they will one day get married. The story starts with Karunakaran (Vijay) leaving his village to go to Mumbai looking for a job to help his sister's wedding. He lives with his sister and there he meets Nisha (Isha Koppikar), who loves him at first sight. He first rejects her but later he starts to love her too. He's unable to get a job, and through a friend, joins as a hit man for a gangster. This brings him a lot of money, in this way he can help his family. Vijay (Rajinikanth) is a Tamil professor living with his widowed mother and his sister. He is in love with Uma (Ambika), a lawyer. During a visit to his friend Ravi's (Nizhalgal Ravi) house, he is disgusted by goings-on in his neighborhood. Illicit liquor is being sold at a tea-stall while prostitution is flourishing in another house in the same colony. But his complaints to the police, yield nothing since the policeman is on the villains' payroll and manages to warn them before making a raid. When Ravi's sister is raped and killed and the perpetrator Mohanraj (Sathyaraj) gets off scot-freewith help from a minister, Vijay and Ravi take matters into their own hands and clean up the tea-stall and brothel on their own. Wanting to teach Vijay a lesson, Mohanraj and his goondas rape his sister (who then commits suicide) and kill his mother. Vijay then turns into a vigilante, walking the streets at nights and dealing out his own brand of justice - shoot first and ask questions later - to the rowdies and goondas. He soon becomes known as Robinhood, helper of the poor and the police sends Singaaram (Bhagyaraj) to unmask Robinhood.

Seetha compels Rekha to live with them. Seetha has the blood cancer but she hides to her husband. When her husband and her friend know this news, they decide to go in U.S.A for the treatment but Tiger manages to kill Seetha and erases the proofs. Vijayakanth is now more determined to catch Tiger.

Vishnu (Vijay)'s father wants to bring up his son as a timid person but the guy desires to explore the world and hates his Dad's overprotection. So Vishnu leaves home and goes to work in an estate claiming that he is an orphan. The owner of the estate adopts Vishnu as his son. Meanwhile Vishnu falls in love with Radha (Sanghavi). Everything goes fine for Vijay till his adopted father shows a photograph and asks Vijay to kill the people in the photo if he really wants to prove the affection he has for him. The man gives the reason that he wants them killed because they ruined his family.Vishnu agrees immediately but he's shocked to see his own father Jaishankar in the photograph. How Vijay gets to solve the mystery forms the climax of the movie.
