Synopsis
The film starts with Sethumadhava Kurup a.k.a. Sethu (Suresh Gopi) returning to his village in Kuttanadu after long years. He meets his old teacher, Kumaran master (Bahadoor) and informs him that he was running a hotel in Punjab but lost everything in the riots there. He opens a small tea-shop in the village.Acteurs

This movie was the come back film for Superstar Bharath Suresh Gopi that gave him a break after numerous flops and made him prevail in the film industry.The movie begins with communal riots erupting in Malabar, after the murder of Mayambaram Baba (Sreeraman), an iconic Muslim leader. Baba is murdered amidst tight security in the premises of a special court in Mangalore where he was supposed to give evidence about the foul play behind an earlier communal riot. The evil syndicate headed by 'Janab' Hyderali Hassan (Saikumar) which felt that their existence will be questioned if Baba were to reveal the truths about the communal violence riots incited by them, silences him using a hired killer, Kala Purohit Khan. As a matter of fact, the communal violence following Baba's murder are triggered and intensified by Hyderali himself, to throw the region in a state of chaos. He has other sinister motives also, like having the huge amount of land left behind by the fleeing population to himself for building a private sea port through which he hopes to pump illicit money, drugs and weapons into the state.

Williams (Saikumar), a psychopath with a disastrous childhood unleashes terror by killing girls. He murders Pushpa (Sulakshana), wife of Dr. Sunny Joseph (Lalu Alex). Nimmy (Nimmy Daniels), her daughter witnesses the murder. Sunny remarries Sherley (Silk Smitha), without the consent of Nimmy. Sherly fails to make truce with Nimmy at home, which makes Sunny upset. One day Nimmy meets Williams on road. She threatens him that she knows William had murdered her mother. To keep herself quiet, she demands him to murder Sherley. Wiliams reaches the house of Sunny and tries to kill Sherley. Believing that Sherley is dead, he attempts to kill Nimmy, but falls down and is killed. Sherley regains consciousness and fatally attacks Nimmy, mistaking her to be Williams.

Small time criminal, Mahi (Mammootty) gets released from prison early. He has a reputation of beating up his rivals in the darkness. Mahi wants to help fellow inmate Balan's (Manoj K. Jayan) whose brother Satheesh (Manikuttan) is in need of money for a life saving operation. A fellow crook, Giri (Suraj Venjaramood) proposes an assignment for Mahi which will earn him enough money for the operation. The story revolves around Joseph Alex I.A.S (Mammootty) and Bharathchandran IPS (Suresh Gopi). A Pakistan military group under Maj. Abu Jalal Rana trespasses Indian waters, targeting New Delhi. The plan, however, is intercepted by Dr. Emma John of Intelligence Wing as she informs it to her senior Padmabhushan Dr. Sudarshan (Nedumudi Venu). Before they can tell the home minister, however, they are killed by two cops, who is joined by a senior police officer, Shankar Ramdas (Devan). Unbeknownst to them, Imran, a photo journalist manages to take pictures of the scene onto his camera. Meanwhile, Kishore Balakrishnan (Vijay Menon), the senior analyst at the agency, sets off to see Swami Chandramoulishwar (Saikumar) at his ashram demanding for the information he passed before. However, Swami was able to suffocate him before pushing him into the Yamuna river. The next day, the bodies of Kishore, Dr. Sudarshan, and Dr. Emma are all found in the river. Since both the bodies of the doctors are seen in an intimate position, the police concludes that Kishore killed the two out of jealousy, and then killed himself right after by drowning himself into the river.
