Pattanathil Sundaran is a 2003 Malayalam film directed by Vipin Mohan, and starring Dileep and Navya Nair.

Synopsis

The story follows Kizhakkethil Sundaresan (Dileep), a grocery store owner who never attended college, who is married to Radhamani (Navya Nair), a M.Sc. graduate. When Radhamani gets a job in Thiruvananthapuram Secretariat, she is excited and wants to move to be closer to her position. However, Sundaresan cannot close his store and go with her, nor does he want Radhamani to go alone. In the argument that follows, Radhamani decides that she will go at any cost, and Sundaresan decides to go with her.

The story starts when Soloman(Dileep) and his sister travel to kannadahalli to meet two retired teachers. He reaches the house on top of a hill-'Swargam' where he finds two old women who live alone with a cook and a home nurse to look after them. Alice (Sharada) and Anna (Bharati) are sisters who are spinsters and they own the huge estate. The home nurse, Sophiya (Navya Nair), cook (Sukumari), cook's son (Cochin Haneefa) and the priest (Nedumudi Venu) are the only people close to them. Soloman takes charge as the manager of the estate and soon wins over the two oldies.

Subhash Chandra Bose aka Kochu Kurup heard a phone call by a teenage girl named Padmaja 'Pappi' Warrier and soon falls in love with her. But his parents send him to Bangalore to his best friend Kartik aka Aniyankutty (Dileep), who is a rich womanizer. Aniyankutty also falls in love with Pappi, but he does not disclose this to Kochu Kurup. However, Kartik gets to know this, and he helps Kochu Kurup to cancel the wedding since he has an eye on her.
