Raja Huli (Kannada: ರಾಜಾ ಹುಲಿ) is a 2013 Indian Kannada-language comedy-drama film directed by Guru Deshpande and written by S. R. Prabhakaran. Produced by K. Manju's home production, the film is a remake of the Tamil film Sundarapandian (2012) which was produced and enacted by M. Sasikumar. The film stars Yash and Meghana Raj in the lead roles. The soundtrack and score for the film is composed by Hamsalekha The film, which made its theatrical release on 1 November 2013, co-inciding with the Kannada Rajyotsava festival became a Super Hit at the box office, becoming Yash's 3rd consecutive Super Hit after Drama and Googly.

Synopsis

Raja Huli (Yash) is a son of rich landlord in Mandya, leads a happy life and spends all time with his friends. Raja Huli ensures that he is always of some help to his friends. One day, he goes to ensure that his friend's love is conveyed to a girl Kavari (Meghana Raj), who happens to be his ex-flame. As it happens, she falls for Raja Huli again. But trouble begins here. A murder happens and the blame falls on Raja Huli and then some twist and turns that forms the climax .

The film is centered around the rivalry between two neighboring villages with rival gangs in both competing in every aspect. Nandeesha (Yash), also known as Gooli is a road side romeo with no real direction to his life. He is flanked by his friends who support him in every act. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Nethra (Oviya), a girl studying at a college in the neighboring town. After this the rivalry between the two villages reaches a high with Nethra's brother vowing to avenge the dishonor. The rest of the movie revolves around how Gooly manages to win over Nethra despite the rivalry.

Vijayshanti was the wife of a lawyer Chandra Mohan. The city life was always disrupted by a group of street criminals supported by the ruling party. These criminals humuliate Vijayshanti in front of a large crowd by showing her nude on the street when she refuses to take back her complaint against the criminal "khali" for murdering a police officer in public. Her husband remains helpless despite being a lawyer fearing of the consequences that they may face in future if they went to court for justice. Meanwhile, the leader of the criminals, the villain, gets elected to the legislative assembly and arranges an open meeting to celebrate his election. Vijayshanti with frustration kills the villain in that open meeting.

The film tells the story of Chandran Pillai (Jayaram), a widower from a village in Kerala.
