Ramdhanu (English: The Rainbow) is a 2014 Bengali family drama film, written and directed by Nandita Roy & Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the directors of Icche, Muktodhara, Accident and Alik Sukh, and produced by Windows and Jalan International Films. The film is presented by Atanu Raychaudhuri. The film was released on 6 June 2014. The film has done well at the box office. The film has been cinematographed by Sirsha Ray and edited by Moloy Laha.

The film is about Surya Narayan (Jeet) who was once a software engineer but quits his job to give it to his friend and is unemployed in the city of Cooch Behar. Poulomi (Sayantika Banerjee) is a girl from Kolkata who studies in college and comes to Cooch Behar for her vacation to stay with her elder brother Madan Mohan (Kharaj Mukherjee) and his wife. In this process Surya will have clash with local rowdy Shanatan Panja (Tamal Roychowdhury). Mistaking him to be one tapori, Poulomi hates him first but later on she realizes his true nature . She returns to Kolkata and lives with her older brother (Ashish Vidyarthi), a former builder and now a very powerful rowdy who is very possessive and protective about his sister. Surya follows Poulomi to Kolkata and works his way into their house with the help of Madan Mohan and finally both of them confess their love. There, Surya knows the flashback of Poulomi and how she is being chased by the notorious and cruel Tony Bharadwaj (Mukul Dev) assisted by his uncle (Supriyo Dutta) for marriage. Surya fights Tony, Poulomi's older brother kills Tony, and Surya marries Poulomi.

An auto driver(Kushal Chakraborty), sees Lucky Bhai (Rahul Dev) murder a journalist. The auto driver manages to capture Lucky Bhai & his henchman, and hold them until the Police arrive. Saumitra (Kaushik Sen), a brilliant artist (Painter and sculptor), visits Khajuraho to draw inspiration and meets Churni (Churni Ganguly) there through a common friend (Tota) who is an artiste too. Love blossoms between them in Kolkata and though their family and economic standards are poles apart, they decide to marry. Churni breaks away from her rich, blue blood family. On the marriage night Kaushik, to his shock, discovers that Churni is flat-chested. The shock develops into sense of being cheated, anger and finally hatred. Churni first tries to reason and pleads helplessness but after suffering Saumitra beyond a point she seeks divorce. The movie ends with a twist on a day years after their split. But you are better advised to watch it.
