Biographie
Chitra Sen (Chira Mandal) was born on 5 May 1934 in Kolkata. Her father was Panchu Gopal Mandal and mother was Arati Mandal. Sen took Manipuri and Bharatnatyam dancing trainings from Balkrishna Menan and Shakti Nag. She married Shayamal Sen in 1966 who was also an actor and a student of Utpal Dutt. In beginning Chitra Sen worked under Shyamal Sen's direction. Her daughter in law Reshmi Sen is a dancer and actress and her grandson Riddhi Sen, son of Kawshik and Reshmi is also an aspiring actor.Le plus souvent avec

A renowned gynaecologist, Dr Kingshuk Guha (Debshankar Haldar), finds himself in a professional crisis when one of his patients, Kabita Mondol (Sohini Sengupta), dies on the operating table while he is away buying a luxury apartment for his family. Kabita’s enraged husband (Biswanath Basu) and relatives attempt to mob the hospital. On hearing the news, Kingshuk’s wife, Rumi (Rituparna Sengupta), rushes to the hospital to be with her husband. She happens to see Kabita's corpse lying unattended in the empty operation theatre and begins to imagine that the dead woman is communicating with her.

Anu is an orphan and a post graduate in criminal psychology. She joins a TV channel as a reporter. Sarojini (Aparna Sen) is a well-known danseuse, whose immense dedication to her art permeates every aspect of her life. While honor and acclaim make way into her professional life she is less successful on the domestic front. Her growing popularity leads to her husband Manish's (Boddhiswatta Majumdar) gradual resentment towards her and ultimately a rift between the couple. Manish takes over the upbringing of their only daughter, Aditi, as Sarojini remains busy with her artistic commitments. Sarojini seems to find a replacement for the void in her marital life through dancing, however she is unsure if her blossoming career and success is really bringing her happiness. The sudden demise of Manish forces Sarojini to put her daughter in a hostel. The glittering memory of her father and her mother's inability of give her proper time results in Aditi's bitterness towards her mother.
