শঙ্খনাদ/ Shankhonad is a 2004 Bangladeshi drama film directed by Abu Sayeed (Film Director). It starring Zahid Hasan, K S Firoz, Najma Anwar, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Rebeka Dipa, Mehnaj Bony and Insan Ali.

Synopsis

Osman return to his ancestral village on a stormy night, the village he had fled in the dark of the night 27 years ago. He finds shelter in the home of Mannaf Khan, a village elder. Osman seeks to rediscover his childhood and goes about reliving the past in childhood memories. He meets Kunjo Buri who had nursed him as an infant. He also meets his boyhood friend Fazlu. Osman is not after worldly gains, he only wants to spend the rest of his life in the village and the nostalgia of bygone days. That, However, is not to be. He comes face to face with a reality of a markedly different kind.

A team of young boys and girls plan to have a big trip across Bangladesh. They all hail from the mega city of Dhaka. In Bangladesh, being a conservative country, it is not common to the sight of a group consisting of both young, single men and women traveling together. Yet in this story, the girls are seen to try to make it against the stream. Each had a different destination in mind: like Sundarban, Cox's Bazar, Saint Martin and many more places. Finally they decide to go to Daruchini Dwip. 'Shuvro'(Riaz) has a big problem for his weak eyesight because he may be put out from the program. But finally the full team goes on a train with 'Shuvro'.

M. Mallik vit dans une vieille maison de famille dans le vieux quartier de Dacca, capitale du Bangladesh. Des promoteurs lui offrent un bon prix pour la maison s'il part vivre dans un appartement, mais il hésite devant l'offre. À ce moment, sa fille Ruba revient des États-Unis, fuyant son mari qui la maltraitait ; elle amène avec elle son petit garçon âgé de six ans. Elle est défavorable au déménagement, mais il est trop tard. Ruba va de maison en maison, et des souvenirs lui reviennent en revoyant la vieille maison. Elle fait alors la connaissance d'un voisin, Kislu, qui fait sécher ses sous-vêtements sur le balcon d'à côté et possède des sous-vêtements de couleur différente pour chaque jour de la semaine. Ruba et Kislu deviennent proches et finissent par sortir ensemble. Pendant ce temps, Stranger Soleman, coupable d'un meurtre dans une vie antérieure, travaille comme garde du corps pour M. Mallik. Quand Mallik apprend que Ruba et Kislu sortent ensemble, il décide de mettre fin à leur relation. Kislu est assassiné.
