Subah Ka Sitara is a 1932 Urdu/Hindi romantic costume film from India. It was directed by Premankur Atorthy for New Theatres Ltd. Calcutta. Subah Ka Sitara was the third of the three films with which K. L. Saigal started his acting career in 1932. The first was Mohabbat Ke Ansu and the second was Zinda Lash. Like the first two films, Saigal used the name Saigal Kashmiri in the credit roll of the film. The film starred K. L. Saigal, Rattanbai, Mazhar Khan, Ali Mir Kumar, Radhabai, and Siddiqui. The music was by R. C. Boral. This was also actor Kumar’s second film, the first being Zinda Lash with Saigal in the lead role. Kumar’s name appeared in the credit roll as Ali Mir and it was from his third film Puran Bhagat that he changed his screen name to "Kumar".

The story revolved around the son of a nobleman and a slave girl.

Prince Ezra (Nawab) is a Jewish merchant persecuted by the Romans, especially the Roman Priest Brutus. Ezra lives with his seven-year-old son Yameen. One day while playing with his catapult, Yameen manages to unintentionally hit the Priest Brutus as he’s walking past. The boy is taken prisoner and no imploring can change Brutus’ punishment. He has the boy thrown to the animals. Elias, Ezra’s devoted slave kidnaps Brutus’ young daughter Decia and brings her to a grief-stricken Ezra for revenge. Unable to harm her and missing Yameen, Ezra brings Decia up as his daughter and names her Hannah.

Pervez K. L. Saigal, heir to the throne of Kascand flees from his kingdom when he finds that his mother (Shyama Zutshi) along with the Wazir (Gul Hamid), has arranged his marriage with the princess (Rajkumari) of Bijapore. Tikkim, wants to marry the princess and he has her kidnapped by the qypsies. Pervez during his escape meets some qypsies who have the kidnapped princess with them. He joins the gypsies and travels with them as a commoner. Zarina (Rattan Bai) one of the gypsy girl falls in love with Pervez. Pervez and the princess find out the truth about each other and fall in love. Together, they defeat the villain Tikkim.

Jibananda is a drunkard zamindar. Ekkari is his companion in all his sinful deeds and greed for money. Sorashi is the priestess in the local Chandi temple and the ex-wife of Jibananda. She is adamant and responsible, but stubborn and honest. She has immense influence in certain sections of local society. When he was young, he married her. Then she was known as Alaka. During extreme debanchery and toture Jibananda realised Sorashi is actually her ex-wife Alaka. Aalka also identifies Jibananda. Sorashi was forced to stay whole night in the drunk Jibananda's house. It created a ripple amongst the local villagers when they come to know about this incidence. But Sorashi gave a legal statement to the police and magistate that she went to the zamindar's house villingly. Jibananda was freed from all offences due to this statement. But the village leaders were very strict to their decision. Sanbeswar Shiromani Mr Chowdhury, Janardan Bapu decided not to asssign the responsibility of a priestess of the temple to Sorashi any more. Nirmal, son-in-law of Sabeswar Shiromani, is very impressed by the attitude and intelligence of Sorashi. Probably he is in love with her. Nirmal's wife understands Nirmal's intention through she has a high regard for Sorashi also. In the meantime for no reason Jibananda goes against Sorashi. He wants to get near her. But as Sorashi opposes this Jibananda gets angry and tries to evict her from her shelter. Sagan and his team wait for Sorashi's order to fight against jibananda. But Sorashi is totally dispassionate. She leaves the temple. But the end mightly Jibananda realises his faulto and surrenders to Sorashi.
