Screenplay was written by Anar Rzayev according to his novel The sixth floor of the 5-story building. Directed by Rasim Ojagov, this film is in drama genre depicting the love affair between a male (Zaur) from an affluent family and a divorced female trying to make her best to survive in a conservative society. The film is considered as one of the best Azerbaijani movies produced in 1990's. The funding for the film was provided by a Turkish businessman.
Synopsis
The romantic relationship of the main characters Zaur and Tahmina starts off with passionate affair and leads to many problems in a conservative society. Zaur (Fakhraddin Manafov), who is the son of a prominent and well-to-do professor (Professor Zeynally) falls in love with Tahmina (Meral Konrat), who is a divorced TV anchor admired by many of her colleagues and friends of Zaur's family which causes periodic jealousy on part of Zaur. Zaur is so much in love that he flies to Moscow after Tahmina when she's sent there on an assignment. Zaur's family condemns the relationship and tries to divert Zaur to a family arranged marriage with the daughter (Firangiz) of family friends. Pressure from the society and continuous calls from Zaur's mother (Zarnigar Aghakishiyeva) to Tahmina eventually lead to big problems in their relationship culminating in break up and Tahmina's suffering. Zaur listens to the advice of his parents, marries the family friend's daughter. Due to heavy drinking, Tahmina experiences problems with her liver and eventually dies during Zaur and Firangiz's honeymoon in Istanbul, Turkey. When he's back, his brother-in-law breaks the news to him. Devastated as he is, the final scene of the movie shows Zaur taking out his wife's list of products for grocery shopping and drives on to the market implying the life goes on.Acteurs

Kedar and Gouri are deeply fond of each other since childhood. Kedar's father and Gouri father are village heads and have rivalry between them. As both Kedar and Gouri grow, their fondness transfer in to intense and enduring love. But their family do not allow them to meet each other and place a barrier between them. Once Kedar in disguise tries to attend Gouri's birthday function. He traces out and is humiliated and thrown away by Gouri's father. He panicly searches for Gouri. On the way he finds blood stained clothes of Gouri. Kedar is now sure that Gouri is eaten by the tiger. In an anguish and frustration Kedar stabs himself repeatedly until he is dead. But to the contrary, Gouri is safely hides in some bush away from the scene.She comes back to the scene after the tiger disappear. Her heart breaks when she finds Kedar died for her sake. Gauri feels she can not able live with out Kedar and follows suit. Thus the lovers brings end of their life for eacher to imprint a sublime love story.
